Just watched this 2004 French mix of CGI/live action flick and was very surprised. Directed and written by Enki Bilal (Carnival of Immortals graphic novel fame). Starring Linda Hardy, Thomas Kristschmann and Charlotte Rampling.
Anyway just curious if any of you have seen it. A nice little sci-fi flick, disjointed in places and the use some CGI characters was a little odd but very enjoyable. Seems french sci-fi is alive and well.

I just watched it and really loved it. It's spelled "Immortel" by the way.
Perhaps it's just because I was expecting to see a B movie, but... no, I don't think that's why I liked it.
It's a bit difficult to follow at times, so you really should know the plot beforehand or to watch it more than once. There is a lot going on in the background. The minor characters that have nothing to do with the plot are just as interesting as the main characters. I only found the evil politician and his female companion to be dull, because they were a bit 2 dimensional. Maybe if I knew more of their background story, I would have like them more.
It makes me want to try and find Enki Bilal's original graphic novel. I also thought I read that he was coming out with another movie (perhaps a sequal).
This is one of those movies with a computer game appearance (not plot). There are very few real actors, everyone else is animated. Beautifully so.
