With BLADE III coming out next year (is it scheduled for a spring/summer/fall/winter release?) and the inevitable BLADE TRILOGY to be available as a DVD boxed set, there has been some talk of a BLADE ANIMATED SERIES to be aired sometime afterward.

Does anyone know what the animated series will be about? Blade's origin and early days? Blade's life after the trilogy? Or just a collection of adventures that run concurrent with the movies? Will Wesley Snipes be involved in voice-acting or producing or some other role? Will it integrate more of the character's Marvel comic book mythos or rely more on the saga established by the movies?

Questions, questions, questions ...

--Well, since it looks like they're going the animated route as opposed to a live-action TV series, I hope they focus on Blade's early years into the time frame the films take place.
Maybe starting with Whisler's family being killed and him hunting down the vampire responsible and finding Blade along the way.

Nah, that could be done for a couple of episodes but it'll get boring after a while. It should be like Spider-Man and take place along the movies' timeline, more people will be interested in his continuing adventures as opposed to seeing something they heard about in the films

--Well, in reality it all depends on whether or not the show will be connected to the film series in any way. If it's supposed to be directly in continuity with the films, then it would depend on what happens in Blade: Trinity. If Blade gets killed off in the 3rd movie, they couldn't really have "continuing adventures." I'm not saying this is a a likely scenario, but anything is possible.
If the animated series isn't connected to the films, they can do whatever the Hell they want and set it at any point in Blade's career.
