Will it happen? And if it does, would it be like "Spawn" or "Spider-Man" on MTV?

Considering it's a Marvel property it will most likely be all-ages. However, I would love to see an R rated Blade toon! I thought the Spawn toon was awesome and I think Blade would work well too with a darker edge.

Hmmm... this makes me wonder. At a con the other week I went to a Marvel Panel. It was an anime con and Marvel's editor CB Cebulski of Runaways and Snkit! and other manga influenced book fame was there. Though mostly people were asking about the regular comics too and, of course, the movies. He let slip that Marvel was looking into television properties. Someone asked what type and he said something along the lines of Showtime or HBO. So I wonder if this is a possibility. Plus he did say they recently opened a small office in Japan to help liscence their charcters to a compnay over there and maybe make an anime with them. Hmm.. The possibilites of either or both of those things can have a number of results and the very ideas sound amazing.

Well, I guess Blade could've worked as an all ages cartoon, considering he made his TV debut on the Spidey cartoon from the 90's, but the last two (and possibly the third) films are "R" rated. I also heard Avi Arad saying that Marvel would market each franchise appropiately, so I guess Blade would be done in a "Spawn" like cartoon.
Here's some news on the cartoon show.
Very cool to see this come back to tv. Here's a pic.

Haven't heard much about a Blade animated series lately, and with the new live-action series, I'm guessing we won't for awhile.
Marvel seems to be going full steam ahead with varios DTV animated films. Maybe they could do that with Blade down the line.
Oh, and in regard to that last post in this thread. The picture is from the Spawn series. not a Blade animated series. I never actually clicked on the link until today. Ah well, better late than never!
Wow, I totally forgot about this...damn it's been a while since an update was made...
