I'm a big anime and manga fan but I love Gunsmith Cats a lot. I read somewhere other than this site that after 'Dr.Seuss Cat In The Hat' was released, the production of Gunsmith Cats would continue. Is this true? Has anyone heard any other rumours? Hope someone can help me.

Really?! I haven't heard this before, but I'm not surprize. If they're gonna do a live action anime, Gunsmith Cats is a great choice. It's pretty darn real as any action movie. I would love to seeit happen. Gonna have to check this out.

If this is true, looks like anime is Hollywood's latest discovery after comics. Let's see there's Dragonball (eh), Akira (why?), and Battle Angel Alita by Cameron.

Now I briefly heard that Cameron was also interested in a live Evangelion. Yes, reread that again. Evangelion. I only heard this once off AICN and we all know how reliable they are. It was part of the article on his Battle Angel Alita movie, so I'm guessing he might have commented he also liked Eva and was misinterpreted.

A quick reply and from a Gunsmith Cats fan too, you have excellent taste. I also heard about the Cameron/Eva project and Alita one, I heard the Eva rumour off Saiko-Exciting on the Sci-Fi Channel. There's a DBZ live-action poster roaming the web too but no-one is sure whether it's a real promo poster or a made-up one by a fan.

Oh and speaking of 'hoax' posters, let's not forget the live action Bebop poster by the DCG's own Weapon X (http://www.comics2film.com/DCG/DispArt.php3?f_id=5958&f_ssn=) which caused quite a stir around the net.

I guess Dragonball could work. I don't have anything aainst it really. My roomate was a huge DBZ fanatic a while back and he showed me the first few arcs before they really started to drag it out. I liked it. Still I think DBZ is highly overrated. It's good, but it's not the best thing ever as it sometimes seems. Heck even Evangelion is overrated a bit and I was insanely into that. Now maybe Bebop is getting there, but it's currently my current #1 anime followed by maybe Hellsing.

Anyway, the Dragonball movie. One moive's fight scenes spring to mind, Blade 2. Thought I was going to say Matrix? WEll, maybe a little bit of Matrix too. I'm thinking the subway fight in Matrix and that last battle in Blade 2. Kinda how you got two superhumans smashing the background and each other to bits and flying around. A bit less wrestling ring than Blade two and a little less kung fu than Matrix and I see Dragonball. Plus let's not forget the energy attacks. I agree with my roomate that Krillin's disk attack is cool.

And then there's Eva. I don't want ot even think about how they'd adapt that. Hell, even Akira, as much as they don't need to, would be easier to adapt. PLus at least Akira is one movie not a 26 ep series.

Man, compared to that, Gunsmith Cats seems easy. Just get some cool guns and that awesome car and make an action movie in Chicago.

Hi again, I loved the Bebop poster, the 'Mad Pierre' episode was awesome, did you see it? Spike took on a psychotic, supernatural, assassin!
I found out that it isn't Gunsmith Cats coming out *sob sob* but the live-action of another manga called Parasyte. I collect this manga and it is really gripping. Imagine John Carpenter's 'The Thing' set in Japan and pit them against one another and you got a blood fest on screen! Very cool stuff though.
Do you watch Blue Gender? I watch that every Thursday, it is really interesting.
Also, speaking of live-action, what about a live Blood The Last Vampire with Angelina Jolie playing the swordsgirl herself? I brought this up in 'opinions needed' discussion too as I think this would work as a movie. What do you think?

So anyone else heard of Gunsmith Cats live-action yet? Here's the article on this site about it.

Who could play the characters though?

I haven't heard of a "Gunsmith Cats" Live-action show but i do know of the "Your Under Arrest" live action show. "Your Under Arrest" it's almost the same premise with women cops with guns that kick ass except without the cool car. Maybe there has been a mix up with that. The "Your Under Arrest" show came out this year so maybe that's what they are talking about. Maybe thats the mixup...maybe.. hope that helps.
