I figured I'd start a new thread to highlight some new anime titles that deserve attention. I guess I shall focus on new ones in Japan, but if there are good new ones in the states I shall give a shout out too. First up,
--Air Master--
My roomate found an interesting new anime called Air Master. We showed it again, by popular demand, at our school's anime club. It's about thsi really tall girl who is a former gymnist turn street fighter. She kicks high, and jumps high, and can kick your ass. The physics of the moves may sometimes not quite be right There may be some mild t&a and even some panty shots, but not as bad as some other new shows which are similar. It actually has an intersitng story and fun characters. Ok, the large breasted girl and the whole thing with her can get overdone, but still the show stays decent. The story gets interesting and the high flying fighting is very cool. I highly reccomend it for fans of martial arts anime.
You can find the fansubs on bitorrent here (http://www.animesuki.com/series.php/135.html). Do NOT get the AJ/Anime Junkies ones. They stink. Get the HQA & N! ones here (http://a.scarywater.net/hqa/).

Bit Torrent is a wonderful file sharing / distrbution system. If you have any questions, there is a FAQ here (http://www.animesuki.com/faq.php). I also suggest DC++ for older stuff whose torrents are dead.
Also, I should restate my fansub policy. Fansubs of series not liscenced in the states are debatably legal. Usually companies and laws are leinent on these. Fansubs of ones liscenced in the US, like Bebop or Hellsing, can definately not be legally distributed. Unliscenced stuff is debateable, liscenced stuff is not. So, as long as a series is unliscenced, I say share the files and build up a fanbase and interest in the series and I hope you support the company that does pick it up in the states. Most fansubbers are quite repectful once things do get liscenced and Anime Suki here is also quite repectful too. so they are a good site to link to. Just avoid Anime Junkies. They stink.
