much better trailer than the first....alot more action. i do miss the setup from the first teaser trailer...but the revenge/punishment theme is there and easy for someone to pickup on.
i love the beginning...very desperado...rather it be on purpose or not. I think from what I've read and what little I've seen....Thomas Jane has nailed the character.
we will see....probably a guarantee this thing makes it's mony back. if it does well i could see this turn into a blade-like franchise (low budget, low risk first movie and then pump some money into it on the sequels).

this is a whole lot better. Still dont like the music too much, but I can live with it. Jane looks freekin great. This movie may not be bad, if it gets an R rating ill definatley see it, but if wusses out and goes for pg13 I'll be pissed.

IIRC, they've pretty much said they're going for an R, haven't they?

They've been saying it the whole time and now the MPAA has confirmed it. It's listed on their web site as being rated R.

I tried to take a look at the trailer online, but I'm one of the most "computer/internet challenged" person's that you will ever run into. When a window popped open asking what software I have so I could download it, I just closed the thing up. Can anyone here suggest as to what I have to do in order to view this? I'm interested to see what it is that you guy's have seen recently. Please......HELP (and SHARE)!

Very cool to here this! I said a long time ago, that I feel that Jane is one of those actors who is in the same vein of training as is someone like Al Pacino, or Daniel Day-Lewis: Intensely devoted to capturing the very SOUL of the character that he's portraying. So I'm not surprised at all to hear someone say that he's nailed the character. Or to see GRIM say he "looks freakin great". That's cool!

Well, the advance review over at AICN was very positive, and it came from the reviewer who seems to have a little more credibility. It seems they stuck with the $30 million budget and didn't shy away from the brutal violence associated with the character either. However, from the trailer it doesn't seem like much of Ennis' sick black humour was included, nor did the advance review mention much of this either. This was an element that I was kind of hoping would be touched upon. Ennis' humour was effectively used in the comics not to offset the violence, but rather to underline it. I'll reserve judgement until it's released but I'd love to see some of this make its way into the film.

Perhaps it is in there, Norin. It's just maybe that it's probably strategically placed. A lot of the dark, gallows type humor might be there involving more with Travolta's character, Howard Saint. You never know how it's done. But like you said, we'll just have to reserve judgment until it's released. I think people won't be dissatisfied, that's my feeling. However, there are LOTS of die-hard's out there, so it will remain to be seen if they can be won over.
And thanks to Mr. Malcolm Xerxes for the response!

Color me not impressed by the new trailer. Yes, its better than the previous trailer, but that's not saying much. If this movie has good 'word of mouth' then I'll probably go see it, but right now I have no desire to watch this film.

Saw the trailer today when I went to see "Hidalgo". Wasn't bad, it's very action packed. I think they really went to town on trying to infuse a lot of humor into this thing, which may or may not work, I'm not too sure.

Ok, I saw the newest trailer again and the movie doesn't look like it'll be that bad at all, its the trailer itself that I don't care for. It seems to be aimed at hyperactive teenage boys with ADD instead of being aimed at adults.

Yeah, the trialers haven't grabbed me at all. This doesn't mean the movie won't, jsut that the trailers themselves are the suck.
