Cameos, perhaps?

I sure help that WELSHY dosen't close this one out, but I was wondering if any of you had a thought about this topic? That is to say, wouldn't it be cool to see some of the characters in the Marvel Universe make either cameo's or full fledged appearances in the film? I know it has been opined to show Namor or The Silver Surfer in this film, but I feel that those two are just way too big to be bringing them into this film, they need there own vehicles. Granted, they are still considered two-tiered characters, but they've held their own series' over the years, and I just think it would be great to see some other characters. Like, for instance, I suggested way back when to maybe introduce one of the Inhumans in the film.......possibly at the end, or towards the end........ maybe Medusa? Lurking in the background, waiting for her opportunity to come out of the shadows and declare that she needs help for her people? That's just one of those type of suggestions.... or maybe sneek Wyatt Wingfoot in somehow. I forget actually how that guy came around, and what it is that he actually DOES, but you all get the picture, right? What are some of YOUR other suggestions for cameos, hmmm?? Please.......SHARE!

Don't worry Bigkid, this is a valid and non-repetitive thread, and can stay open. As long as it is just cameos, as we do have a supporting characters thread going on somewhere.

But I'm not sure Namor or Surfer should be restricted to mere cameos, unless they have their own movies going. But as i've said before I personally think the Surfer should start off in the FF along with Galactus, say, in the sequel, and then spin off into his own movie.

As for the Inhumans, well it depends on whether a sequel would have a story centred around them. I wouldn't mind seeing Crystal or Medusa even in a small way, but I think Crystal lends herself more to a cameo role than Medusa. The problem with the Inhumans is that they could easily be a fairly major plot device and feature heavily in the movie, so maybe a cameo isn't the way to go with any of them.

As for people who could definitely be cameos though - how about Willie Lumpkin - he could be played by Stan Lee. Or that monster that the FF fight in FF #1 on the front cover. Or the Yancy Street gang? These would be homages i'd like to see feature in the first movie.

Oh, and Wyatt Wingfoot was Johnny's room mate in college, and Jen's long-time boyfriend. I think he could definitely appear, but would be better featuring if Jen ever did make it into this franchise instead of appearing as a supporting character for the Hulk franchise. I've always thought she worked much better without the Hulk baggage that was attached to her, as a character in her own right. The FF is certainly where she most blossomed and charmed readers everywhere.

Well, MAYBE Silver Surfer could work out better. I just can't see how you could get Namor in there, especially in a FIRST FANTASTIC FOUR film. I mean......how do you even explain Namor in the FIRST place? It's kind of a moot point anyway, considering that Universal Pictures is preparing to make a Sub-Mariner film on it's own.

Yes.......see, THAT'S what I mean about making some cameos, like Welshcat suggested. I think that would be terrific to show The Yancy Street Gang. I don't even know if we ever SAW them at ANY time during the existence of the Fantastic Four, so it might be pretty cool to feature them for a little bit.... or even feature Crystal, SHE could be the Inhuman that makes her way to Earth and meets Johnny towards the end of the film..... one of those "love at first sight" type of deals.......and her imploring him to help her and her people out. Those sort of cameos would be great. Also, I think it will be great to see Alicia, but I'm sure that's been discussed already.
