Now this was taken from Dreamwatch magazine and it has yet to be founded in fact. So take it with a grain of salt. The plot for FF is as follows:

32 year old scientist Reed Richards and 35 year old pilot Ben Grimm approach European tycoon Victor Von Damn for funding to investigate a possible cosmic ray cloud. Reed's estranged girlfriend Susan Storm, who works for Von Damn's genetic research firm, and her brother Johnny accompany the other two into the shuttle. What happens next is a genetic mutation which transforms the foursome into superhumans. Meanwhile, the megalomaniac entrepreneur becomes the evil Dr. Doom as the team tries to stop the villian from taking over the world.

Hmmmmmmm........ it's not a bad idea, actually. I'd like to see if this IS something based on what is going on in the film, but even if it's something that was made up, it's not a bad plot rumor to throw around, actually! It ties into all of how they know each other and all. I personally would've liked them to keep the idea that Reed and Doom were contemporaries, but I don't think that this is such a bad plot. Is there anyway to confirm this? Like you said, we can only take this with a grain of salt at this point in time.

Sounds good, except for "the megalomaniac entrepreneur becomes the evil Dr. Doom as the team tries to stop the villian from taking over the world.", which makes Doom sound like a bad Bond villain. I mean, meglomaniac villain taking over the world?? That is so 60's.

Agreed! This idea should be left where it belongs, in Austin Powers sequels. Besides, it's too Lex Luthor for my tastes. Doom's origin as Ruler of Latveria is fine as it stands. There's no need to change it.

I've a question here, however: Dosen't Doom STILL get to retain his position of ruler of Latveria? I mean, he's a "megomaniacal industrialist", but I thought that was in ADDITION to his title of ruler of Latveria? Are they NOT going with that as well?
