Anyone see the newsstory about the new FF toyline? They've already got them up and going. They are being manufactured, I believe, in Germany. You'll see how it looks when you click onto the newsstory. It's a newsstory from here, so if any of you want to see how they look, and you read this in the next few days, you can go to the "recent news" index and pick up the story from there. The toys look great actually........they are going to have a Mr.Fantastic stretch toy, and they will have Ben Grimm hands (and feet, as well, I believe). Tell me what you all think about it when you see it, it looks pretty cool!
The toys look cool, but I'll post my opinions once I've written them up over on a toyboard where it's being discussed plenty.

Oh come on. You have awesome Thing hands, but how hard would it be to have a Human Torch costume? Buncha oily rags and a book of matches. Bam. Put it in a nice FF box and you're all set.

I don't know....... I sorta liked what I saw of The Thing's feet and hands! I might just buy them this Christmas for one of my younger nephews. I think some of these will make great stocking stuffers on Christmas, and I think that, if kept in the packaging, could become collectors items in, say, 10 more years or so (that is, of course, if this film goes through the roof), which I think it has a GREAT chance to!

More infortion has come out about FF toys. There's going to be action figures that they say, are going to be made in such a way as to capture the powers of each of the FF. I would imagine that means an Invisible Woman doll that has a light sheath around the outside to represent her force field? Or a stretching Mr. Fantastic doll? (I should have read the story first, is what I SHOULD have done, instead of speculated on this)!

I just got a chance to see the action figures themselves. Not only do they resemble the actors, but their powers ARE pretty well represented. The story was taken from The ComicsContinnum, and they had some great photos of not only the 4, but of Doom as well. They have the characters with certain props from the film in some cases (don't want to give TOO much away here), but the Thing, I believe, is going to be a HUGE seller. Also Dr. Doom for that matter. They have 2 different action figures for them: One, is Ben BEFORE the transformation, and Two, is Doom BEFORE his! They all look pretty cool. Also throw in the other things like the action figures with their sportscars (great figure with Ben AFTER he's smashed a sports car......and I think a lot of you are aware of what part of the film that's from), and an action figure of Johnny Storm/Human Torch on a snowboard, lighting up! I think these figures are going to make Marvel sales go through the roof, in my humble opinion.
Well hopefully, with any luck, I shall be buying the Fantasticar that is due to come out as part of the FF movie toy line. I've seen pics already, and it looks very cool.
The Sue Storm figure has a marked improvement in hip articulation and I'm guessing this will be incorporated into Marvel Legends.
BTW - who has seen the pic of 1st Appearance Thing in Marvel Legends 11?
