Ok, well it seems like this thread is dying. No one will post responses to anything... Maybe we should have left all this stuff in General Discussion, cuz at least they were getting the attention they deserved...

Seriously? Because nobody posted on Sunday the forum is "dying"?

Check the whopper thread from General...nobody posted in that one on Sunday the 20th either.

I think it's OK for people to take one day off from posting.

It's just that no one seems as interested anymore. The whopper you are speaking of was my thread, and I can guarantee that I posted at least once a day, just to get people involved with the conversations going on. I have tried that here, but the responses just trail off into nothing.

When someone has something to say they'll post it. Right now no one has anything to say. It's not that interest has fallen off, it's just no one has anything to add at the moment.

My point was just that only one day (the 27th, a sunday) went by without a post, and now you're declaring this forum dead. If you look at the whopper post, which you seem to prefer, there was also a day that went by without a post (the 20th, also a Sunday). So, you might conclude that here is no cause for alarm and, rather than kill the new forum, we might give it a chance to take hold.

You know, I personally was sick all weekend and hardly logged on. When I came back, I noticed there was very little activity to speak of in the DCG Forum either. It was just a dead weekend, it happens.

I'll try to make some posts in here tonight, and to respond to some of your threads.

I wonder where all the people were that were posting on my original thread? Where did my good buddy BigKid go? Everyone there almost always posted everyday, and they always responded to questions and such. We need to liven this thread up!

Do you have any pictures of your ex-girlfriend? I remember you saying she looked like Jessica Biels. That would definitely liven things up for me.

I don't think she would like it much if I posted pics of her on a web site! LOL! But yes, she does look an awful lot like Ms. Biels. But that was Jennifer Biels, y'know, from "Flashdance"

Oh yeah, that's who I meant, I just get those names mixed up sometimes.

I thought it was Jennifer Beals not Biels. And when I went onto C2F earlier this evening, no-one had posted anything to any forum except the DCG. So maybe the rest of them are dying.

But seriously, it's not that people don't have anything to say. Perhaps it's rather that the topics (eg supporting cast, villains etc) have now been split up into different threads, so the responses are more spread out. Also, casting for Wonder Woman has pretty much been discussed to death in the whopper thread unless someone has some new ideas, which probably isn't the case unless someone new joins this board, which doesn't happen every day.

I have a question for you guys and gals. How strong should Wonder Woman be in the movie?

WC

As strong as can be, except she should not have big muscles and be Xena-like. She should still be very feminine.

To think once they were thinking of Alexandra Paul for this role, or that other woman from Season 2 of Martial Law, Gretchen Egolf. That would be the pits. They're virtually like sisters too! http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/eek.gif

I think she should be as strong as she is in the comics. She should be able to topple buildings, and toss tanks about just as the Wonder Woman of the printed page can.

She should be just what she is in the comics, second only to Superman in strength, and second to both him and Flash in Speed (talking heroes here not villains). Moreover, her fighting skills are far superior to most since she's been training since childhood to be a warrior in a society that studied martial arts all over the world. I hate it when they make her fight just like Supes- she's a far more advanced fighter.

As far as visuals go- yes WW should not be one of those women who's so athletic shaped that she loses her womanly curves- she need hips and breasts and loooong legs. However, I prefer to see her looking pretty buff as well, with not overly huge but well developed biceps, leg muscles, etc. Her 'super' strength is gods given but the above mentioned martial society she lives in places a big importance on physical fitness and fighting skills. All Amazons are pretty buff and WW should reflect that.

To me most of her femininity is in her face- her compassion, her naive views of Mans world, her beauty is mostly in her face to me.

This is exactly what I'm saying. When the Wonder Woman threads were in the General Discusion forum, there were always 5-10 responses to posts a day. Today we get 2...
Wow....?

Dude!

If you're so concerned, I'll reopen your old whopper thread and rename it "rayray's good old WW thread" and see if you get more discussion.

Maybe there haven't been 5-10 responses a day because the dumb spammers got lost or gave up.

Seriously, though, chill man. Better to have organization and threads that make sense than one big topic in which it's nearly impossible to gather old information.

I wonder how much space that old topic takes up. It being that it's closed and thus using up space, perhaps it would just be better off being deleted http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/wink.gif

All I'm saying is that no one seems interested in any conversation, unless I make a comment. Sue me, but I care alot about this forum, and I try my best to voice my opinions to get some kind of conversation started, but it just seems like I'm talking to myself sometimes. I just find it very hard to believe that no one has any opinions about comments I've made, with the exception of this one. Doesn't anyone else find that odd? And just to let you know, I wasn't just talking about my thread, I was talking about the fact that almost all of the threads on General Discussion have hits every day. This ones only truly live thread is about the lesbian aspect of Amazons...

No. Why should we find that odd? You need to take a look around the other Forums rayray. You'll see the exact same thing happening in those threads. There's Hellboy news almost everyday but hardly anybody ever posts there. And I don't mean to offend Wonder Woman fans but her comic books have not been hugely popular, so you can't expect the same amount of posts about villains and casting that you would get in the X-Men Forum. And you also need to consider that there is no Wonder Woman film right now to get fans interested in talking about the character. At least they aren't that interested here anyway.

True, the General Discussion has hits every day, but they are not anywhere near the amount you seem to think that the old Wonder Woman thread used to have. To be honest, I don't think there is any real correlation between that Wonder Woman thread being in the General Discussion as it was before and the number of hits it received. It just happened that when you started the thread, lots of people decided to post at the same time, giving the impression that it was an extremely hot topic. It was partly coincidence that everyone suddenly gathered together at that particular time. The truth is that most topics don't receive a mass number of hits each day unless it happens to be a no topic thread which requires very little thought.

The norm for the number of responses is what you see here currently in the new Wonder Woman forum. It has been that way for years, since I've been here at C2F. You should just count the old WW thread as an exceptional case in which everyone were riding a wave that had gathered momentum, and be happy it lasted that long. But you shouldn't expect that that thread was the norm, because it isn't.
