I just wanted to throw it out there...

What do y'all think of casting Lynda Carter as Hippolyta in the film. Their was a mention of her making a cameo during Wedon's last interview.

I think it would be a fitting passing of the torch. I even wonder if she would do it?

Certainly Lynda should make an appearance in the movie. Should she play Hippolyta? It would depend on the script and the feel of the movie. If it is going to be an epic like Troy using Greek mythology, I would definitely go with someone else for the part. Lynda should at least make a cameo.

I'm all for Lynda Carter as Queen Hyppolyta in the new WONDER WOMAN movie. However, I think this won't come to pass. For the same reason that Tom Welling as Jor-El in SUPERMAN RETURNS is not happening: too confusing. There's no point in linking the two seperate entities (the TV show and the upcoming movie) if the movie is standing on its own. I think Lynda Carter will more likely make a cameo appearance in the movie, similar to Lou Ferrigno's brief stint as a security guard in HULK.

Personally, I'd rather they go with either Signourney Weaver or Cybill Shepard as the Amazonian matriarch. Both are tall (5'10"+), athletic and have aged remarkably well.

i'm all for a lynda carter-hippolyta cameo. however, if this can't happen, she could be diana rockwell trevor in a sort of flashback origin scene.

 As much as I loved Lynda as Wonder Woman of the seventies, her role in the WW film should be limited to a cameo or as a small supporting cast part. I think having her play Hippolyta would be too confusing to the audience since it seems Whedon is going to reinvent the WW story and separate it from its campy predecessor. It's like Adam West playing Alfred in Batman Begins next to Christian Bale. Certainly the tone of the film would be different. So let's just see how Whedon reinterprets the icon and then provide feedback on his casting choices.
