Unfortunately, the only antidote to that is to change the post counts per page in your settings [User CP > Edit Options > change post count per page to 5]. At work, I don't have to do that. At home, it's best to, otherwise not all pics come through.

I'm bored. I want Friday to be over.

Usually Friday's I work from home to catch up on paperwork, prospect new customers and generally clean up my desk. Today, not so much. My paperwork was for the most part done. None of the new prospects I have answered their phones and my desk wasn't so bad. To top it off the phone didn't really ring too much, no "fires" to put out. A few possible sales for me here and there, but in general, not too much to do.

Almost every other day of the week I am on the road. In an out of mortgage broker's offices trying to make a buck. In my boredom today I took a look at my map and thought, why not share useless info with my fellow maniacs?

Most of my customer's are spread out in a fairly stright line between Buffalo and Albany. One or two up north near Vermont that I never go see becuase I don't like driving through the mountains. Two further south (down there by that date stamp) Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse are all about an hour and a half apart of each other. Albany is about 3 hours.

I saw a new guy in Buffalo post yesterday - where you at man?

Seeing that map reminded me of my last visit to Niagara Falls. On the State side,
there's a REALLy good Italian restaurant. Tony Bennett had been touted as one of their famous customers, if I'm not mistaken. Or maybe it was Old Blue Eyes. Not sure. Great food, though. :D

Umm..well...technically nothing.

Officially, Mortgages.

See it's like this. You go to buy a house, you usualy go to a Realtor. Sometimes you may just do down to the local strip mall and apply for a loan at your bank, but if you do, I lose.

So hopefully, you went to the Realtor. That Realtor is likely going to have a relationship with a Mortgage Broker and they'll hook you up with them to get you qualified for the loan.

That broker now has the pick of literally about a hundred banks to chose from to get you a loan. Depending on your credit and down payment that could be one of the big boys - Chase, Citibank, Countrywide, Wells Fargo etc. You may have shitty credit and need to go through ABC, Option One, WaMu, First Franklin, Bank of Arizona, there's a ton of them. You pay a much higher rate, but you get a loan for your house.

I'm one of the big boys there. It's my job to get in the mortgage broker's office and make sure that they chose me. Sometimes I can even turn the loan around and get them to not send it to a small "Subprime" lender. we can do a lot of neat things to get you a home.

The same thing pretty much applies to people refinancing their loans. I get paid for the loans I bring in. Basically everything you see on that map is my sales territory. Not NYC though.
