Some real good work this update, so here's an increasingly rare UIR from moi, Mr. Bigshot DCG Administrator Man.

Flashrogueskobra by Temporal Dave
On a par with the rest of the series, ie, really good. Nice pencils, nice colours, and I like the lighting of his face. I'll add my vote in favour of some more full body work! (BTW, Dave here got two pics into the last couple updates because of a real dearth of material in the queue... so c'mon people, submit stuff already!)

Shazam New Beginning by kalel67
Not bad at all, probably your best work to date. Nice background, decent costuming (needs more contrast, darker shadows and brighter highlights), the cape's not all that bad, but it needs more lighting to give it shape -- it's very flat. For that matter, his shadow should show up on the cape.

Good pic. As I've mentioned before, I like your style, very unique. He doesn't seem to have much of a neck (though I'll leave that to the experts to judge), and his head is way too small. And bizarre looking... he looks, I dunno, like a zombie or something... yellow and sort of wrinkly.

Juggernaut by DarqueImages
Nice pic. Well put together, though the head is pretty obviously from a different source than the body... it's a lot sharper and the skin tone seems different, a bit brighter. His hands, particularly the right one, are miniscule.

The Mystic Eightball by jferro1978
The scan, or the paper, or something is ugly, and messes up the image a bit. Otherwise, good work. A nice drawing and a great concept. Thumbs up!

A Day At The Beach by jrmcdeath
Welcome to the DCG! Everyone, meet Jr. Jr, C2F. Gorgeous work, as always. I don't recall seeing this one earlier, either, which makes it a very pleasant surprise. Some art notes would be appreciated, cause dammit man, I'd love to know how you did some of this stuff! Gorgeous metals, awesome details on the shorts. Plus she's hot! Favourite pic of the day.

Supes Promo by The Running Man
Enough seems to have been done to this for me to allow it in, but it's not good or anything. Anyway, no art notes, no UIR.

Batman On A Gargoyle by Togor
Awesome! Very cool pose, very nice costuming. And the cape! [drools] I wish I could do capes half that well... Nitpick: there seems to be something odd about his neck... The adam's apple seems overrepresented... or something. Suggestion: Some sort of stone texture for the gargoyle would be a nice touch... it's too plasticky to really look like a building decoration. Major suggestion: this image would work so much better if it were set at night, wouldn't it? The lighting's quite interesting as is, just imagine what you could here with a nighttime shot...

Welcome to the DCG! Everyone, meet Vincent. Vince, C2F. Yet another great pic in a great update. I already commented on this at HM, so I'm not gonna repeat myself too much, except to say that the metal is awesome, I love the tarnished look. And I still have to say that the face is lit totally different from the bodies... and then there's the hair. Still, awesome work, welcome aboard! And I love the nick.

I can certainly see the artistic influences. Pretty cool pic, nice design and cool concept. The anatomy is very wonky indeed though, the thighs are huge, whereas the foot and especially the arms are tiny in comparison. Again though, I'll let the experts handle that aspect of the critique.

You're hard on yourself, man! This is good stuff. Not your best by any means, but good. Your usual nice, clean lines, and pretty good inking, though you're right about the light source. And about the rain too... even just putting in a line representing the horizon would make it look better, IMO. Nitpick: is it just me, or are his hands a shade oversized?

Star Wars: Mission Vao by B
Mine. It's no Songbird... but I like it.

no nitpick away, there are a couple problems with the anatomy all the way around. his hands are a bit to small. I'm having a problem keeping the overall proportions of my figures in check right now. His hand looks great when compared to his arm, but if you compare it to his head then it looks huge. I also didn't spend enough time with his hand holding the wand. I had assumed I was going to cover more of that arm up with lightning, and then when I started inking I didn't so it's not that great. This whole series of flash's rogues is an opportunity for me to try and sharpen up some skills on some smaller details. Right now it's all about the small battles not the overall war.

If I knew how I did that stuff I would share... but I can't explain it... it just happens. LOL But if anyone has a question I will gladly try to answer it.
Thanks for the compliment B!

thanks for the compliment. As to the wonkyness. You'll find it show up regularly. I like to think it's what makes my style mine. That is unless it's an outright screw up

Thanks B. I have submitted a full-bodied Batman for the Begins Theme Day, but I definately need more practice. I hope y'all dig it. And by all means B, display as much of my 'dearth of material' as you want per update. You can call me Dearth Vader. Nice Star Wars pic by the way. Cheers
