Ok, maybe I missed something. Why didn't Locke just climb up into the crawl space, instead of trying to pry the door open?
Also, it's been so long now....did we ever find out what happened to Locke's legs? Why was he in a wheelchair?

We don't know yet, but I'm thinking the goon squad is gonna come back and put the boots to him

Anybody get a good look at the stuff on the blast door?
Gale is definitely an other. He is using divide and conquer tactics. Why else would he make Locke swear to protect him. It's a ploy to pit Locke and Jack at each other.
And how about the supply drop? Wasn't that interesting?

Thanks, I didn't think so but they stretch this show out too long. ABC should do 'Lost' like FOX does '24'. Start in January and just run til it's done.

Good point about the crawl space--maybe Locke's too big to fit through it, while shrimpy "Gale" wasn't.
My guess about Locke in the wheelchair is that it was psychological--Helen left him, and I'd bet when he goes back into that hotel room there's no money cause his rotten dad took it all despite what he said.
Still, what were those drawings on the hatch blast door? And only legible in black light? Were they done by the designers or by a previous inhabitant? Curiouser and curiouser.

It makes me chuckle that the episode is called "Lockdown" and Locke happened to be pinned down by the door.

Ok, someone help me out cause maybe I missed something......
The supplies that Jack and Kate found, how did it get there? By plane? You would think SOMEONE would have heard a plane fly over the island. Jack was on his way back to the hatch, which you would think is an area traveled through on a regular basis. Did I miss something that clears this up?

The Hatch is a Skinner Box (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skinner_box)
This may be the reason be hind the food drop.

I definitely think the lockdown was to keep the subjects inside the lounge until the drop was over as to interfere as little as possible with the experiment.
I just wonder if Locke's legs propping up the blast door that kept us from seeing important info.
Also, anybody catch Nadia buying the house that Locke inspected?

I really can't see a connection between the food drop and the lockdown yet. For all we know that food could have been there for days.

Then why the hell did nobody see the damn strobe on it before now? How many times has Jack been back and forth from the hatch?

I thought they where on the way to find said/anna/Charlie when they saw it ? I could be wrong.:dunno: I don't understand how dropping food would Compromise the experiment.
As for not hearing the plane, If it did drop the food on the same day. It was the best day to do that because it seemed like everyone there was busy watching the Lostaway Celebrity azzhole Poker Tournament.

Jack was on his way back to the hatch. Kate wanted to go with him so she could take a shower or whatever. That is what I was wondering about in my last post. If a plane dropped off something on the island that close you would think it would have been seen or heard.

maybe they are just in a large fabricated environment (a la The Truman Show) and someone just dropped the food from the "roof"
Sort of like rats in a maze...the rat probably wonders where the hell does the cheese (In this case, Mac & Cheese) come from?

I like that. Alot. That way they control everything and that might explain Fastcar's theory on the blast doors, if they where dropping the stuff from the roof. You guys are on to something.

The Truman Theory is a Little far fetch, Ana said she was conscious for the whole crash and that she can remember seeing people ripped out of the plane. I think that the whole food drop is misdirection on the part of the writers, maybe there is food being dropped on a regular basis, say every three to four months. Also if you go back and look the food had already been torn in to so Jack and Kate weren't the first to find it.

Maybe the parachute is a red herring and the food was delivered from underground. The seem to be hints of an underground network of tunnels through the islands.

I think EW is coming out with an article about the episode. You can look at their site for the article. The map seemed to contain locations to other bunkers and structures on the island. The place seems to be a group of research facilites. Alot of the stuff written on the map talks about projects.

This was a great episode. I liked the whole thing. Jack was a little out of character with suddenly being this poker card shark but it was okay. I wonder if the map that Locke saw will be significant later in the show? I wonder what's going to happen with the guy who they have discovered is an Other? Could the parachute have come from a high flying plane? That way people wouldn't of seen the plane in the air or heard it.
I don't like the idea of it being like The Truman Show. The plane crash seemed pretty real at the beginning of the series.
The plane crash seems to have been part of a plan. Who created the crash and are they with the survivors?

well yes, that's the eternal question of the show, isn't it?
Hic sunt dracones - Dragons are here.
I wonder if that's just metaphorical or real - who knows with this show.

Last week was so freaking awesome...and I gots to see it on High Definition. Totally awesome feel then my normal hotel tv.
Jack and Locke continue to have their testorone contest. Locke couldn't get three words in as Jack came storming in with Ana, Kate, Charlie & Sayid. Who cares that Locke is bleeding and limping to Mr. Doctor when it feels so much better to push that lying bastard against the wall.
And yes....that dude is something totally off. I've always found the funny name cool too Henry Gale who "blew" into the neighborhood by accident. Another quirk from the writers.
Can't wait till next week when Sawyer has to contend with the others taking supplies, taking away his "usefullness" of the island. I'm sure that will be interesting, seeing the greedy butthead squirm.
I'm assuming the supply dropoff was at night too so it was easily missed by everyone. What's more, I wonder if the Dharma guys sent these more supplies because the Others have told them about the sizeable addition to the neighborhood, ie the survivors of the flight. Send more supplies instead of even thinking of rescuing them and letting the secret out about the island.
These folks are never coming home. Might as well build a city there cause they are not leaving that island unless Dharma wishes them to.

I agree about the drop being overnight. It makes sense that Dharma would drop supplies, since the supplies were low in the hatch when the Losties got there. What is missing, however, is the replacement button-pushers. Weren't they supposed to replace them every three months? How long was Desmond there alone?

I thought about that too.Maybe thats who Gale is suppose to be.
