Methinks if I do, I'll be quite lonely... the idea being I'll be the biggest

I'm on there, www.myspace.com/ronniemckinney , although I don't have any real content other than a few pictures. Steal them if you like Boki... Quite a few actors/directors are beginning to use myspace to get info out to fans. That's the main reason I signed up was so I could subscribe to Jon Favreau's and Kevin Smith's blogs. It's a great way to get info straight from the horses mouth.

I signed up with MySpace so I could keep better contact with my sister, since she spends her whole workday playing on it. After getting a few friend requests from people I never liked in high school, I deleted my account. I just can't stand those people that act like they care about my life now when they couldn't be bothered to sneeze in my direction in high school. It's like, since they were such big pricks way back when, they no longer have any friends, so they try to pick up with people whose names look familiar. Bastards.

As much as I like to bitch about that place, it is a fairly decent way to keep track of people. Or people who need to die. Whatever the case may be.

Holy Crap!!! I just found my ex on MySpace, after 11 years she still looks the same. The whole thing was a messy affair to begin with. But I remember the last thing she ever told me was "Years down the road, We can still hook up even if we are both with someone else." Real high class chick right? She turned out way better than I thought she would. The funny thing is I broke up with her because she partied way too much and I thought she would go nowhere in life. Proved me wrong. That being said if I had it to do all over again. I would still break up with her 11 years ago.

MySpace deal allows members to sell music
MySpace members will be able to sell music directly from their pages, powered by a partnership with digital licensing and copyright management services company Snocap. This marks the first music download retail deal for both companies. The service, confirmed Saturday, already is being tested quietly on a select few artist MySpace pages to prepare for an official rollout within six weeks and sitewide implementation by year's end. "The music artist community is at the heart and soul of MySpace and has driven its success," MySpace director of business development Amit Kapur said. "We've given them many tools to promote their music, get their music heard and engage with their fans," Kapur said. "We always knew that at some point we were going to extend that to a commercial zone and empower artists to sell their music and make some money as well." (Chris Marlowe)

There are way too many music and artist profiles at myspace whose work I really dig, and being linked to their pages is great, but they outnumber the amount of real friends, so I created a twin profile to keep things organized:

Well, I gave in. I got me one of them pages over at the myspace.
Here's the latest message I found in my Home page:
"TRAZALCA has 0 friends.
You haven't added any friends yet.
To start having fun on MySpace you need to invite some friends and get the ball rolling!"
I registered a couple of weeks ago, and it sure has been quiet.
Not quite getting what all the hubbub is about. But it's nice.
The crickets chirp quite lovingly this time of year.
I know it looks really sad, and yet, it really doesn't bother me.
My Xanga account is still updated from time to time, and full of home/family stuff.
Maybe I could just keep the myspace blog to just me with my opinions.
Yeah. That'll be popular.
What I do find very amusing is that myspace seems to cater SO heavily to
single people. I'm married. I have NO interest in hooking up, but the advertising
is almost daunting. Almost like spam versions of chat line commercials with babes
cooing into the phone while stretching sexily on a couch. How unoriginal. :p
Now that the cat's out of the bag, I can only wonder how much longer
my anonymity can hold.

Did Traz say he had questions?
It just occurred to me that I usually go to MySpace about once a week if that. No one messages me anymore. Except GD to get me to tune in to Kaeos' radio show (good times!)

Hey...what can I say. I got tired of the weird crap that would crop up when long gone ex-girlfriends would pop up and start stiring shit up. And then you have those folks who you never talked to since grade school that act like you were the best of friends.
Sorry Jake. You always have my blog to read if you want to feel "Close" to me.
I may get back on it someday. Who knows. I rarely updated it anyway.

After visiting quite a few other myspace pages,
my one big question is - how do you customize it to look the way you want it?
I see Jarrod's, Bill's and Kaeos's look pretty cool, but how do you customize
it with a full size static picture in the background? Can it be any pic? Or is there
a certain list to choose from? Do you have to have paid privileges for that?
And how do you post a song? Is it from another site? Or loaded from your
hard drive? Questions-questions. Too many questions.

Usually, if you go to snazzy pages like that, you will find a little box in the upper left-hand corner that you can click on that will say something like "Snazzy Layouts" or whatever, and that will take you to a place where you can pimp out your page (I undid mine recently, becuase it was hard to read).
As for music, you look up your favorite artists on MySpace. On their pages they usually have a little box with like 4 songs playing. On the right side of the box, there will be an option to "Add". Just click on this, follow the steps, and soon you can annoy others with your eclectic taste in music when they visit your page!

Hey Traz -
Try www.freecodesource.com (http://www.freecodesource.com).
It's where I did mine.
The background image is no different than posting an image here on mania, it just depends on how savy you are with html code. If you can find the link to the background page inside your code, you can change it to another pciture somewhere else on the web.

You're no fun.

GD, if ever I find my way back to Cali to see the family, I am going to find you and drink you under the table...
While complaining about Hostel: Part II, no doubt. :D
Sounds like a plan....We will go to the strip club, drink and insult the closest stripper to us for not showing us her ass.....
And why would she not show us her ass?? Well, that is why we would insult her for not showing us...I mean damn, you are a stripper!!:D

Strippers....
Now there's a place I haven't been to in a long time.
Of course, with all the hot women inviting me to view their naked pics for free (I have to register, though), who needs strippers?

I guess the same could be said for me having a GF....But strippers are just fun!!

On the downside, you don't get to sleep with them.
On the upside, though, you don't have to buy them dinner and make small talk to see them naked! :D

True...you have to have coke if you want to sleep with a stripper. That's science.

OMG. . . you all drug southpaw into a conversation. This is a rare event.
I have never been to a strip club. I told Outy I want to go for my 40th bday in three years.

I honestly have only been once for my 21st b-day, and it was very fun...There is nothing like a girl spreading eagle while you throw a dollar bill at them....
Is it degrading?? I can see how it is, but you have to remember that these girls need to make a living, and I am more then happy to help!:D

I've, uh, I've only actually been once when I turned 19 (no alcohol).
To be honest....
I was bored after a couple of minutes. It was like really cool at first and there were some gorgeous women there, some with interesting piercings even. But for me, watching women, even naked ones, dancing kind of gets dull after a while and you start wondering what else there is to do. I think it would probably be better to go in a large group. I'll have to try that someday.

I do not quite understand how just you could go and watch them, then I would feel creepy....It is always fun when you go in a group and you either drink before, during, or after....
You should try it now that you could drink....It definatley adds to the experience....Great, now I feel like Ben Affleck....
