Since Ben Affleck's next film is about George Reeves (the guy who played Superman in the classic TV series), do you think WB or DC Comics would allow him to wear a Superman costume? Or, if they do, do you think it might be possible that Affleck might make a better Superman than Brandon Routh?

Did anyone make a manip with Affleck in the suit? I think he might wear a old looking one that looks like its from the old show. if he wears the new costume it might look wierd because I thought the Affleck movie is based in the 60's or 70's.

Nope, Reeves died in '59.
I'm just curious cause I don't know if DC Comics would want to be associated with such a tragic story, and probably have the writers come up with a new superhero for him to play.

I am curios as to the rammifacations. Yet as along as they keep it to the real life guy and the real period costumes and stuff, I don't think DC acan btich too much. Then again you never know with their armies of blood sucking lawyers.

I think he's saying that with the daredevil film having Affleck as the main character and the film being horrible so will this film that also stars Affleck as a superhero...but really hes not a superhero in the film, hes a actor playing a actor playing a superhero...ya.

Hey, that film wasn't horrible. It was good. And I know Thom would back me up on this. Hey Thom, help me out here man.

Anyways, you want horrible, pick up any film starring Steven Segal, or directed by Uwe Boll. God help us if those two ever decide to do a film together.

Co-sign on that one because even though DD will never win any awards in my uninformed opinion it was a better movie than the first Spider-man. It would have been better if the story had been fleshed out more, a common complaint I have with most Marvel C2F's, but the casting particularly Affleck was fine with me even though in a perfect world I would have preferred Matt Damon in the role.

Getting back to the possible Reeves movie, if it's distributed by Warner Bros. then the suits there will over-rule any qualms the DC suits may have about the Superman role in the movie. Show the darker side of the lives these actors who play our super-heroes play.

Ben Affleck as George Reeves? I don't know about that. They don't seem anything alike. Has Affleck put on some weight for this one? He also seems a bit too young for the role, with Reeves looking more like a middle-aged man. Also, Affleck looks a bit too modern for the old-world Reeves. I don't know. They just seem like different types of actors completely.

The theatrical release of Daredevil was weak, outside of Colin Farrell's Bullseye, and Spider-Man kicked it's butt hard in terms of quality and characterization. The Director's Cut of Daredevil, however, was MUCH better. I strongly advise anyone who didn't like Daredevil in the theatres to check it out... it's a pretty strong film.

And Ben Affleck as George Reeves is a joke. Not only does he look nothing like him, but his acting skills aren't strong enough to pull off the portrayal. At least Brandon Routh LOOKS like Christopher Reeve when he's dressed as Clark Kent. They should've gotten someone older and more heavy-set to play the guy. Hiring Affleck is obviously due to his "marquee value" alone, NOT his talent.
