Does anyone besides me not believe that Nick Stahl has been casted as Angel?
Ok that guy looks horrible for Angel...seriously a bad chioce in my opinion. Imagining him with the wings even looks worse...this is just a stupid rumor...Nick Stahl fans out there...I have a message for you...dont even think he can even get a place in the x-films...well maybe for a nightcrawler replacement but NOT Angel...Didnt Avi Arad say in 10 days we'll find out whos the chioce for Angel? Or was that for another character???

It's possible Nick Stahl may be in the running, since the surprise cancellation of the nicely done "Carnival" has opened up the actor's calandar.
However, his current film, "Cool Breeze In The Underground" in is pre-production; this could be a scheduling conflict with "X3" if Fox wants to begin production on X3 by September. It's possible they can get him after 'Cool' wraps, but it would be unlikely. I do think Stahl may have been considered, however.

I think Stahl's a terrific actor, I don't see WHY he wouldn't be able to play Angel. But I was someone at one time who thought he'd be a really good Human Torch, but THAT suggestion got shot down pretty hard! So maybe I'm missing something about the kid that everyone else seem's to feel is NOT right for certain roles, I don't know!

I think the thing that you're missing that everyone else sees is his inability to act. Can you name 1 movie or show or etc. that he's done a wow job portraying the character?

If Carnivale was such a good show, why did it get cancelled. I'm not just blaming Nick Stahl by the way. But I'll give you that he was good as Yellow Bastard in Sin City.

From Yellow Basterd to Angel?...I still think it would be a bad chioce for the film...The guy should not get the part...someone else who looks better for the part should...But i still dont know who that is.

Is that a joke? Should I list every good show that was ever cancelled before its time? That has to be a joke.
And yup, Stahl was the asshole that his "friends" conspired against and murdered in Bully. He was one convincing son of a bitch, if you ask me.
I also thought Stahl was great in In the Bedroom.

Anyway, I agree with the general consensus that Stahl is a good actor but I don't see him as Angel. Even in his straight roles he's a little intense and edgy, and try as he might he can't fully hide it. His looks are a little too exotic too. He'd work better as Gambit in my opinion. Angel is the one X-Character where a very Aryan/vanilla actor would be totally appropriate. Someone more All-American should get the role. Someone mentioned Michael Pitt and that's not a bad suggestion at all. I doubt he would do it, as he doesn't seem to be interested in any role that doesn't require at least partial nudity. However, someone along those lines would work better than Stahl.

Well, now I still don't see how people still believe Ain't It Cool News, because now they are saying that Ben Foster is going to play Angel. I don't mind Ben Foster but I highly doubt if any of this is true.

I'm thinking Ben Foster is like Nick Stahl: he's on the 'considered' list, but won't be the actor chosen. Unlike Stahl, his latest film is in post production. His chances are better, though.
This means, for the most part, he just came off "Alpha Dog" and his calandar is free in the next few months. He could clear it for 'X3'. He's also a very good actor. Some of you seen him in 'Hostage' or "Punisher', but I also highly reccomend a film he was in called 'Liberty Heights", directed by one of my favorite directors, Barry Levinson.
Possibility factor increases by two percent, as most 'X' actors have worked with each other on other films/TV before. Used to be the Famke connection, now it's the six degrees of Rebecca Romaijn
