Excellent, Kevin. This marks a new beginning for you, I think. The costume work is some of the best you've ever done. Your costuming always looks beautiful but has the tendency to look a little painted n the body. The folds and creases here are excellent. I love the colour and the lighting adds fantastic depth. It especially looks great on his neck, shoulders and pecs.

The belt looks a little flat though and doesn't seem to wrap around his waist. It also feels a little too cookie-cutter. Is that a filter? I've seen that same type of look on many of your other images. The large crease on his shorts-thingies looks odd. It seems like there's one large inexplicable crease across the middle, but nothing underneath it...where there...should be something.

I think what could really take this to a whole new level would be some nice reflections on the metal. With metal that shiny, it's inevitable that it would catch gleams of red or gold from his costume, if not total reflections of his hands.

Again, really fantastic, awesome job. I love it.

Thanks for the compliments, comments, and suggestions everyone! Adam, great UIR. I agree with a lot of your comments - I don't know if I could have undertaken super-reflective surfaces though - how many layers can you do in Photoshop before your computer grows a hand and slaps you in the face? ;p

I'd guess one more than you used here.

Seriously though this is a gorgeous piece and I really like the actor you chose. I'm especially enamoured of the way the hands came out on this.

Just out of my own curiosity did you start with a body underneath or is this all hand created?

I should really comment on this pic too, just cause it's totally awesome and stuff... hands down the best you've done in a loooong time. A definite turning point, I think.

My Usual Minor Nitpicks are as follows.... everything Essex said. Obviously. Also, his arms should cast a shadow on his body. And I personally find his weird pointy hair a bit... weird. But mayhaps that's just me. ("Mayhaps"? Going all Shakespearean here... Verily, how odd... this is what being too literate does to you, folks. :D)
