I saw Paris Hilton in some weird English horror movie whose name escapes me, and I thought she did a creditable job with her role. Believe it or not, I think she does have some acting talent. Unfortunately, that is probably about all she has going for her.

had to be last years "House of Wax" remake. that film is worth it just to see her get killed. But nobody in that movie had acting talent, they were just eye candy, and fodder.

The only idea I have for Paris being considered for the role is the
similarity in background history to both her and Theresa -
both come from extremely well-to-do families.

However, while Theresa sacrificed her status to do what she has done.
Paris in no way at all has the courage to do so,

You're thinking of Nine Lives. Thankfully she doesn't last very long in it. She pretty much played herself, so I don't know about acting. I didn't mind her in Hosue of Wax though.
