Well there are many anime fans here but for me I dont really like it that much. Some stories are fun and cool but for a film on then, that might be a crazy thing. The matrix films might be considered anime influenced(or something like that I heard somewhere) but I think that maybe a live action film for DBZ is going too far. Who wants to see people with 2 feet long hair that spontaniously turns blonde? And played by brad pitt? OH GOD!

I dunno. Seeing live films based on anime seems to be a waste. You already ahbve a TV show or a movie. Why remake something that's already a movie. When it comes to a TV show, why compact a whole show into a movie?

The only one I'm mildly interested in is Evagelion as it just means so much to me. It seems like they would do chunks of eps and not the whole thing in in film. If they can capture a fraction of how good the series was, then it will be awesome and might gain more popularity for the series. If it stinks, then I can always watch the orginal series.

That's the thing about such film. They're not needed. We already have cinematic versions of them out there. With comics or novels, you're making a new cinematic entity. With anime, you're remaking something that's already cinematic. It's almost like saying that if a movie is animated it's less then something live action and I totally disagree with that.

Hmmm....How about Pokemon?

Wouldn't it be cool to see that show turned into a live action film? They have done alot of animated films, but a live action one could be cooler. The cgi and such would be complitcated but overall a very cool thing if done correctly. :D

Have you seen the poster for the new CGI Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles movie? It looked horrible!!! CGI sometimes doesn't work for some comic to films. I would guess Fist of North Star is a cartoony manga comic that wouldn't work as live-action.

Jacko wants cops to seize and destroy 25 to Life

In a letter to California Attorney General Bill Lockyer, Miami anti-games lawyer Jack Thompson suggested California police officers seize and destroy all copies of the controversial upcoming title 25 to Life. Thompson writes:

"Additionally, please know that California Civil Code Section 3495 enables and authorizes each and every law enforcement officer to walk into any video game store, without a court order, to seize and destroy each and every copy of 25 to Life. California law treats this as acceptable 'abatement' of a public nuisance by parties particularly endangered by such a nuisance... In the next six days I intend to take to the public airwaves in California, and to use other means, to encourage all law enforcement officers in California to in fact go into video game stores and seize all copies of 25 to Life."

While I highly doubt Eidos, the game's publisher, would agree with Jack's interpretation of California law, it's more disturbing that he is encouraging the destruction of content he finds inappropriate. Without getting too hyperbolic and invoking Godwin's Law, history hasn't looked favorably on all the people who've destroyed works they found offensive.

Gee, taking something off shelves and destroying it just because some lawyer is offended by it or because finds that it's dangerous. Sounds like Jackie boy is taking a page right out of Hitler's play book.

Um... would that be Full Metal Panic or Full Metal Alchemst?

Oh and as for Full Metal Alchemist, I've only seen up to what's aired on US TV and the last few eps... HOLY *#&$(*# #&*($&$ &$#! Wow. just *(#$ing wow.

And again, why do we need a live action version? We got the manga and we got the anime series for FMA. Both work excellent. Why waste money remaking it, especially considering the effects budget?
