Ok, found this video interview on BBC News. It's Billie Piper and....
David Tennant. A new Doctor already?!?!? And I was just getting to like Chris Eccleston!
Don't watch it if you don't want to know anything about the new season, especially in regards to the above spoiler.....
Doctor Who: Series 2 (http://news.bbc.co.uk/nolavconsole/ukfs_news/hi/newsid_4850000/newsid_4859200/bb_wm_4859240.stm?scope=nolavconsole&tab=nolavconsole&q=David%20Tennant&edition=ukfs&mediaformat=bb_wm_&start=&order=)
I'm insanely excited about the new season, especially the season premiere, where we meet an old enemy...
I thought the doctor could only change a certain number of times. Aren't they hitting the mark yet?

I believe TImelords have 13 regenerations and this one is at 10 or 11 at this point.

I've gotten the impression that this Doctor is an all new restart, Doctor No. 1. Note that in the opener, there are no pictures in that guys collection of anyone but Eccleston.
You mean, Tom Baker never happened? :D

Major, major, major spoilers. Only swipe / read if you really want to know....
In the season finale, after sending Rose back to her time in London so she escapes the attack by the Daleks, she looks into the Eye on the Tardis and absorbs it's power. She then goes back to help the Doctor who stranded himself in order to save Rose. However absorbing power from the Tardis is killing Rose so after saving the Doctor, he takes the power from her, which causes all the cells in his body to die and he regenerates into David Tennant. That's the short version, I won't go into the "Bad Wolf" stuff.....

please use
codes for spoilers, instead of white text--many stylesheets have colored backgrounds, meaning the spoilers show up. If you use the codes
your spoiler will never be visible unless swiped.
The power of the moderator . . . BEHOLD! :D

So I was watching Coupling the other day, and one of the characters used the word "Daleks" in the context of "oh crap." I didn't really register it until I watched a later episode where one of the characters (who runs a TV/Film memorobilia shop) was talking to a cardboard cutout of a Dalek, then he also used the term "Dalek" in a kind of "oh crap" sense. Is the word "Dalek" really used as slang in the UK? Because if so, that F-in' ROCKS!

We have been known to use anything as a swear word in the UK from time to time ! Dalek has been used by a colleague of mine as an expression of displeasure.

Here we say "Hilary". But it's really the same thing.
