Here you go:

Jack, Wayne, Evelyn and her daughter drive away from the hostage swap site. Evelyn has been shot, but they can’t call 911 because Henderson is undoubtedly monitoring all the emergency channels. Evelyn reveals that the evidence she has against President Logan is locked inside a safety deposit box at a local bank, and she gives Jack and Wayne her key. Jack pulls into a motel and leaves Evelyn (and her daughter) there so she can rest.

Jack calls Audrey and reveals that President Logan is behind everything. He needs her help to maneuver through the city. Jack says that they need someone credible to receive the evidence of Logan’s involvement, and asks Audrey to call her father. Audrey says that he is soon to land on his way back from a summit in Japan, and that she’ll do everything she can to make Secretary Heller help.

Henderson calls President Logan and tells him that he doesn’t know where Jack or Evelyn is. Logan freaks out because he knows that Evelyn has proof of his involvement in the terror conspiracy.

At CTU, Karen gets a call from President Logan to say that he is authorizing an Executive Warrant for the arrest of Jack Bauer due to new evidence in his possession that connects Jack to the assassinations earlier in the day. She follows the President’s orders.

Audrey briefs Chloe and then talks to Karen before she heads to the airport where her father will be landing. A transponder is placed under Audrey’s car.

Jack and Wayne pull up to the house belonging to Carl, the president of the bank where Evelyn’s safety deposit box is. Jack takes him and they head for the bank.

Audrey stops her car and she’s “pumping gas”. She finds the transponder and places it onto another car.

Vice President Gardner asks President Logan about the Executive Warrant that was issued, as Gardner doesn’t understand what Logan is doing. Pierce is there while the two are talking, and he knows that Logan is up to something.

Back at the hotel, Evelyn’s health takes a turn for the worse. She passes out, and her well meaning but unfortunate daughter panics and dials 911. Henderson’s men trace the call and head to the hotel.

Aaron calls Jack and tells him that Logan issued the Executive Warrant for his arrest. Jack tells Aaron that Logan is behind everything and advises Aaron to be extremely careful. Carl opens up the bank and they all head inside.

Henderson arrives at Evelyn’s motel and demands to know where Jack is. Evelyn gives up the location, and Henderson sends his men to the bank.

Chloe discovers that Myles is still using the CTU satellites to find Jack, so she hacks into the CTU sat system and disables it so Audrey can’t be tracked.

At the bank, Jack, Wayne and Carl (the bank president) access the safe deposit box and the evidence: It’s a tape of a conversation between Henderson and Logan. Logan’s complicity is proven. Jack realizes that Henderson's men have arrived and are waiting for them to step outside. Jack has Carl trigger the silent alarm for the cops; he hopes the cops and Henderson's men will have a gun fight and create a distraction so they can escape.

Sure enough, once the cops arrive and the gunfire starts, Jack, Wayne, and Carl make their way out, though they are shot at. Jack calls Audrey and says they are on the way to the airport and that they will be taking down the President of the United States.

And in a Crying Game sort of way, no doubt. :smirk:

Probably in more of a Sleepaway Camp kinda way...

So many questions:

Okay, so, Bierko wanted to attack the Russian President and failed.
Did Logan know this? Was Logan using him?
How would have things gone smoothly if President
Palmer was never assassinated? Terrorists with varying agendas
came into play during this season of 24, and I cannot help but wonder
how Logan's role played as a part of it all?

I understand the trick of making the VP the red herring,
making us all think he's the antagonist, when it turns out he's
the protagonist. Though I'm not 100% sure of that either.
But the VP's move to have marshall law in place throughout Los Angeles-
does that reveal an agenda against Logan?
I cannot help but feel the VP knows more than he lets on.

And still, the BIGGEST question that had yet to be answered since
the first HOUR: HOW DID THEY KNOW JACK WAS STILL ALIVE???

Also, I hate to bring this up, but, are Evelyn and the daughter still alive? :(

And, the bank manager's wife, will she remain tied up for the remainder of the season? :ohwell:

I think Logan's plan was exactly as Walt Cummings described it: the terrorists were to have stolen the Syntox gas and deployed it against Moscow, thus providing an excuse for the US and Russia to eliminate all possible terrorist cells there. Logan would have had the added benefit of having "foiled" the original terrorist plot at the airport. Everything went wrong when Cumming's man was discovered by Bierko's cell, because Logan didn't have control of Bierko--Bierko probably didn't even know Logan was behind it. (And what has Bierko been doing these last two hours, anyway? Still unconscious? Isn't there anyone else at CTU who knows how to torture a suspect properly?) Deploying Syntox in LA was a backup that would have the same effect as deploying it in Moscow--giving the two countries an excuse to invade former Soviet republics.

I think the veep, besides being a red herring, is definitely an antagonist to Logan. The martial law was just another way to get ahead of Logan--if it worked, he took credit, if it didn't, he blamed Logan, and either way he comes out ahead politically. It remains to be seen if he'll have any real effect for the rest of the story, because we know William DeVane (Sec. Heller) is going to come in and kick ass, because he's William DeVane!

I worry about Aaron Pierce surviving this day, but I predict Martha Logan is going to be one pissed-off First Lady when she finds out the truth, and then the prez will see just how unstable she can be.

As for the poor bank manager, they should've let him call home and leave a message for his poor wife, and tell her help was on the way. Once they'd called the cops to the bank, they could've called the cops and told them to go to the bank manager's house and untie the poor woman. Oh well. Was there red in the bank manager's shirt? Red stripes, at least? You knew he wouldn't survive the night.

I'm really interested in how they're going to take Logan down, and to see how and when he uses the China card. I'm sure Bierko had no idea he was being used by the president, so when he wakes up, he'll probably give them vital information that implicates someone else.

It's interesting to me that they've wrapped up the main terrorist threat, the nerve gas, before the season is done. Now they have to deal with consequences...as on Day Two. I like that they've wrapped up a story thread and still have story to go.

That's what worries me.
When that happens, it means something REALLY REALLY bad is due to come
down on Jack nobody forsees. It's open ground for literally anything to
happen, and it usually isn't pleasant. :(

. . . but then again, they did renew the series for 3 more years, so it doesn't necessarily follow that something really really bad is due to come down on Jack. I mean the guy has been chewed up and spit out so many times that maybe it is time to give him some relaxing down time between seasons!

I'm holding out for Jack being in some Chinese concentration camp at the beginning of next season.

Yeah, but if you've already thought of that, then wouldn't it be better if whatever happens can't be anticipated or predicted?

I would've thought the Chinese would want the pleasure of killing him, not put him in a camp...

Boy, this episode was tense. I was on the edge of my seat and chewing my nails. I felt like I'd had a workout after watching it...

Well, one thing I've come to believe is that the first lady is neurotic in part because she is a good person and has come to realize, deep down inside, that her husband is a rat bastard.

Isn't Logan only president because the former one was killed last season?

Not killed...incapacitated.
