great skin tone. i tried to go the link posted to see the original model, but it's dead. still, that is some cool skin color, and the makeup is a great addition. i really like the costume, but my real only complaint is that it is soooo dark. it makes it very hard to see the details you've put in. but then again, she is a darker character...so it all makes sense. the jewelry is well done and it works well. i would love to seen a raven shadow around her...but the glow works as well. very nice stuff.

sorry about the address. i know next to nothing about html code, which is why the address is just typed out there rather than put in as a link. the address of the picture doesnt work, so i changed it to the site where it is.
as for the darkness of the picture, blame it on my laptop screen. whenever i tilt it to get a better look, the angle changes how much contrast i see; on my screen, it may seem brighter and/or darker than what i may see on another computer screen. :?
:D other than that, thanks a bunch for the comments, means a lot to a newer manipper like myself. comparing the stuff i put out recently to my first manip? eesh. all of the comments i've recieved have helped me grow, and so thanks goes out to everyone who comments. i wish i had the cajones to uir, but unfortunately i always get scared that someone's gonna rip into me for critiquing their stuff (trust me, i go to Academy of Art, I know all about critiques *shudder*). oh well.

hey man no worries...you do good work i'm glad to comment. here's a hint from one manip artist to another. a real good way to get better is to constantly critique. one, your helping an artist by giving him/her an honest critique. two, your helping yourself. you will find after a doing a number of critiques you'll start being able to pick up on things in your own work.
enjoy the Academy of Art (I'll assume the one in San Francisco), it's got some good stuff going on there.

Very nice concept and casting, good costuming too!
Effektd, if you want to put a link, the html is as follows: <a href="http://xxx.">Click Here</a>. Just FYI.
Great pic, BTW. It doesn't look too dark on my monitor (though that's admittedly very brightly set). Great costuming, nice cape, gorgeous skin tones, and I really like the jewel on her forehead... it looks like it belongs there, which is rarer than you may think.
Nitpicks... um, the gold doesn't look like gold. It's too yellow. Real gold has a bit more red in it. Plus all the jeweled bits are pretty obviously the same one replicated and with its angle changed (not a huge deal, since a lot of people do that, but I personally think avoiding that shortcut gets you better results) and in particular, the one on her hand looks a mite flat to me.
Still, this is certainly your best manip to date. Awesome work.
And never be afraid to UIR. If people overreact to your criticisms, that's their problem. And like Dan said, critiquing other people's work can help you locate similar problems in your own pics.
