I figure after you went to all the effort of UIRing the rest of the update, it's only fair for me to say a few words about your own pic... and that's easy to do, cause I'd say this is very possibly your best work to date. Great costuming, particular the logo, nice recolour, especially her hair (very realistic colour there... why can't more people do that?), and the background works well.
Nitpicks/suggestions/B being a pedant: First, a suggestion... I'd make the gold parts of her costume shinier. Based on the art of John Byrne et al back in the day, I've always seen those parts of the costume as sort of metallic looking. It is, of course, a matter of personal taste, but I've always figured Phoenix should look sort of bright.
On a more objective note (I think), I'm really not sure about the angle of the phoenix-logo-pin thingy on her sash. Assuming the basic shape is the same as the logo on her chest (which I believe it is), the angle just looks wrong... rotated too far away from the camera, and I think also tilted up a bit too much.
Oh, and I'd dodge the highlights in her pupils a bit more... they seem a touch green where they should be pure white.

Thanks B both for the review and for saying this is my best piece to date.
I fought with that goofy pin position half a dozen different ways and finally decided where it was would work if you assumed it was pinned on top of a knot. But looking at it now I agree with you.
For the hair I originally had it a bit lighter more strawberry blonde colored and had to fool with it more to get this shade.
And the gold is simply a fact of me not having been reading much when she was in this costume and having to base it on other people's work and having seen covers and such on TPBs and reprints.

I felt that, since you've commented on so many of my picture, I should repay the favor. I definatley like the picture. The overall composition and how the flames come around the body are good. I'd have to say my only issue withthe picture is, as previously mentioned, the pin. Other than that, pretty darn flawless! I luv it!
