THC has confirm to MSN in an interview today, that Venom is in Spiderman3. He is the biggest name and most trust-worthy to confirm Venom by name.... unlike his last interview, where he just hinted.

You can read the entire interview at the link below. I would imagine that Sony will make an Official Announcement fairly soon.... maybe at the Comic Con in San Diego... my home town.... next month.

Sweet, I was wondering when that would finally leak.

"I'm overwhelmed every time I'm around Sam," Church told the site. "He's been showing me [stuff] since the beginning of last summer. 'This is what we are going to be doing in this sequence. This is what Spider-Man is going to be doing, and this is what Venom is going to be doing.' It is a massive, massive process."

I really cannot see topher as eddie brock!?, I could however see Church as Brock.. I don't really understand how their going to fit that much story into one movie, originally I thought maybe they would introduce the costume in this movie, and then venom in the next, but these comments make me suspect that venom will be fighting spiderman in this movie.

Yeah, I know, it's mindboggling.... I thought the same.... that it would be a set up for SM4.... but it appears that he may actually battle Spiderman. Go figure. :dunno:

BTW, I totally agree with you on Topher.... I just don't see it. Church is a better fit to play Eddie Brock than Topher. :ohwell:

Church is too old to play Eddie Brock. Otherwise I could see it.

Grace is small but I didn't think Maguire could pull off the Spider-Man physique, either. Put Grace in a gym for 4 months before filming and have him eat, sleep, breath, drink, etc., working out and I bet he could have a decent enough build. Plus, the guy is about 6'0" and a good portion of Venom would have to be CG anyway. The fangs just aren't practical, not to mention that Venom is supposed to be huge. The only way you could get someone the right size is to hire a pro wrestler and I think we all know their acting skills well enough to know that they'd bring the whole movie down.

THC is not to old to play Eddie. Eddie was in his mid to late 30's. THC does not look his age. However, we all know he's playing Sandy.

Well, Grace doesn't necessarily have to be built like the original comics version of Brock. In Ultimate Spiderman Brock is more built like Peter, pretty thin and such. It's the suit itself that does all the bulking up, responding to it's hosts wishes and so on.

Ok... I'm out of the loop... Venom is SM3, cool... but who's THC? Because to me... that's a drug compound. And when you say "THC says" I'm thinking that in a drug induced haze you had a vision of the next Spidey movie.

*sigh*

THC = Thomas Hayden Church. The guy playing Sandman.

 You're not just out of the loop, you're out of your drug induced mind.

True... but lets be real here.... most fans, even non fans who know a little about Spidey and Venom, recognize the Classic 616 Eddie Brock as being iconic. No one buys Ulitimate, although, Bendis is pretty good. Fans just prefer the villain to tower over Spidey, not be his equal.
