What do you consider a spoiler? Cause there are some people who actually consider an episode summary in the TV guide a spoiler! In a past episode of Supernatural, there was with this painting...they were bothing looking at it and a smaller photocopy of it...this simple mention in someone's post was considered a spoiler? There was no other information. WTF? XD And this person's post was deleted, cause they forgot to use an lj-cut...
Is that crazy?
I think that's going a bit far...
At the same time I find it amusing
Fangirls are scary, sometimes it's fun to prode the fire and see what happens

Here's a couple spoilers (that I think actually don't count as spoilers because of their notoriety to anyone who has or hasn't seen these movies):
Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker's father.
Haley Joel Osment (the kid in the Sixth Sense) is talking to a ghost (Bruce Willis) the whole time.
James Bond gets the girl and defeats the bad guy in some over-the-top fashion.

I personally think that after the episode aired, it's fair game. If you don't want to know, don't open the thread.
An episode summary in a TV guide is spoiler to me, as a next week preview. Because often some important details are spoiled in summaries and previews.
Speculations are also spoilers to me now. I don't read spoilers for future episodes, and I don't open threads as long as I didn't watch the last episode, and still, some people succeed to spoil me with their "educated" speculations. If you know what will happen in the next 4-5 episodes, you cannot make true speculations, you make "educated" speculations based on what you already know and shouldn't know. Speculations aren't spoilers among people who didn't read spoilers for future episodes. But it is difficult to control.
I don't make a fuss of it though. Maybe I should avoid internet period if I didn't want to be spoiled. But for me, it's a matter of respect. That's not that difficult to understand... everything that didn't air yet is spoiler.

Aaaand this seems as good a place as any to remind everyone that Monic very thoughtfully crafted
codes for us, so that if you are at all unclear whether something is a spoiler, you can put it inside these codes and no one will be able to read it inadvertently, no matter what lovely style sheet they are using.
Monic is the bestest! But then, that's no spoiler, everyone knows that! :)
