Okay, now this is just totally, totally, utterly, inconceivably awesome. I know nothing about the game, but this is great, the best pic of the update by some considerable distance, IMO. Clank looks fantastic. The shapes are perfectly rendered, the lighting and shadows are awesome, the glows are really well done... amazing work. The metal effect is great too. Ratchet isn't quite as awesome (those highlights look a bit overdone on someone in a much larger scale than Clank is, and the neck area in particular looks sorta flat and weird), but he's still really, really, really well done.

And on a personal note, Dan, I'm very glad to hear you're having fun with this stuff again! I hope this means we'll get to see your work in the gallery more often in the immediate future, my friend!

i totally forgot to gush over Ratchet and Clank in my art notes. this is one of my favorite game series ever. i love the humor:

"If Ratchet were a cookie what kind of cookie would he be? I'm betting Snickerdoodle."

the characters and stories are always done well, the action is so over the top it's never boring, and the series is always consistently great....can't say there is a game in the series that is a letdown. if you haven't played this series on the PS2....give it a shot, all of the games are low in price and you can always rent them. anyways....it's a great game and worth checking out....it's the reason I will buy a PS3...I really love the series that much.

again thanks. i think i accidentally stumbled across a new metal technique that's similar but not as good as Welshcat's....but i think i figured out how he gets to it though....that alone was worth it! :)

holy crap, that's pee one's pants awesome. I see the similarities between the metal work here and Welshcats, this is really superb. I can't believe you made thos planets from scratch either! Man, this whole think rocks, not one thing I see that could be improved upon. Kudos to you!
