Theme Day Calendar of Events

In an attempt to clean up the Theme Day calendar thread...I pretty much deleted the whole thing. Oops. So here is the new one, everyone enjoy.

Due date: Sunday, January 29th, 2006 at 10PM EST.
For display on: Monday, January 30th.

The idea behind this theme day is, in the immortal words of kev_incal, who came up with the concept: "If a hero went bad or a villain went good, they'd probably want to change their costume (a villainous Wonder Woman in starry panties just doesn't scream "HOMICIDE!" to me). Redesign original costumes of heroes and villains if they switched sides and like, batted for the other team ;)!"

Ultimates Theme Day

Due date: Tuesday, February 21st, 2006 at 10PM EST.
For display on: Wednesday, February 22nd.

With the Ultimate Avengers (http://www.ultimateavengers.com) direct to DVD feature hitting stores on 02/21 we will be having an Ultimates celebration here at the DCG. Basically do a picture of your favorite Ultimates character. While I would prefer you stay within the Ultimates realm....I am aware there are other Ultimate properties people would like to see realized. With that said, the theme day calls upon you to create an image from the Ultimates universe, this can also include Ultimate X-men, Ultimate FF, and so on. If your favorite character has not been "Ultimized" feel free to do it yourself, in any form such as a manip, illustration, vector art, etc. So stop reading and get cracking on your Ultimates image.

I cannot promise a prize for this theme day, but do not be surprised if I decide to give one at the last minute. The prize would obviously be the Ultimate Avengers DVD release.

Original Character Celebration

Due date: Tuesday, March 21st, 2006 at 10PM EST.
For display on: Wednesday, March 22nd.

Just like the title says, a day dedicated to your original creations. We will be taking a break from the umpteenth image of some actor with a white face being portrayed as the Joker, instead we will be letting your original character designs and backstories be told. Illustrations, manips, and so on are all welcome for this theme day. Please feel free to include your character's origins and other information. And if you really like original characters, please check out Bold Comics (http://www.boldcomics.com/) for more fine original characters. Your Bold Comics characters are welcome here this theme day, as well as any other day.
