My computer is sooooo strange lately, I think it has something to do with an odd internet error. I click on my favorite places and the screen locks up and starts opening a random page on my list a couple billion times...then it freezes and I have to restart the computer.

My bro has the fix for this...I guess my favorite places is bugged by something. O_o; (I use Comcast.)

Anybody else have something like this happen before?
It's rly annoying!

I had something like that a couple of times, but it turned out to be a virus or a worm. It was very odd!!

I am having my own computer issues at the moment. I was online with Bladelover last night and all of the sudden I completely lost all internet connection. I unplugged my DSL line for several minutes and tried to reboot and all that stuff that the help desk says to do. I tried to bypass my wireless router and it still didn't work. I finally gave up.

Today, I called the AT&T help desk and Rick had me uninstall and reinstall the software. I can now get on if I bypass the router. This means that the other computer can't get online. I guess I'll uninstall and reinstall that next.

I have ATT DSL too And I was kicked off today too before I came to work I couldn't connect so it may be an ATT problem.

They swear to me that everything is OK on their end and I can get online if I don't go through my router. Of course, I can't figure out how to reinstall the router driver or anything, so my kid is pissed that she can't get on line too.

Sounds like some kind of spyware/adware.

Lesson of the day: Don't use Internet Explorer.

Last week, my home computer bit the dust. Locked up in OS, safemode, DOS, and even the memory checking! The thing was old as dirt, so I just bought a new one. Now, I'm humming along with a 2GHz, 1.21GB RAM, mad man! Only cost me a little under $400 too. Now, the Internet and everything else is hella fast!

I took my old 80GB hard drive, bought an external case, and combined them. I saved my files to the new hard drive, formatted the old, and now use Norton Ghost to write to it once a week. Now, if I crash again, I can recover. Norton Ghost is sweet! Also, since it's an external USB hard drive now, I don't have to turn it on every time I turn the computer on, only when I want to ghost.

The only strange thing is the look. It's a new desktop, new external hard drive, old monitor, new speakers, new keyboard, old mouse, and the same router, and they all match! Black with silver trim looks much slicker than that putty color.
