Okay, here's a big one:

I am eating a chocolate croissant

Is that awesome, or what?

Are you sure that's . . . "chocolate?" . . . :)

Fine. Here you go...

Van Nuys Airport: Jack is tending to Audrey’s wound when one of Secretary Heller’s guards cell phone rings. Jack answers and it’s Heller. Jack tells Heller about the shootout and that Henderson is in possession of the tape.

Bill Buchanan’s house: Bill and Chloe are inside the house. Bill’s phone rings and it’s Jack. Jack speaks with Chloe and tells her that he needs her to track Henderson’s movements. Bill and Chloe focus all their efforts into finding Henderson and Jack and Audrey leave the airport.

Logan’s Retreat: Henderson calls President Logan. Henderson tells Logan that he is keeping the tape in a safe place and it’s his insurance policy against Logan. The President calls a group of men and tells them not to go after Henderson.

Jack and Audrey: Chloe is able to track down Henderson and she forwards the location to Jack and he finds Henderson and rams into his car. There is a shootout and Henderson runs out of ammo and Jack captures him but Henderson no longer has the tape and he has given it to one of his operatives. Jack and Chloe figure out that Henderson passed off the tape to someone who was en route to the Van Nuys airport. The plane that the courier is on is a Diplomatic plane that has clearance to fly even with Martial Law imposed. Audrey tells Jack to do whatever he has to in order to expose Logan as a traitor so Jack goes to try and track down the courier at the airport, and he makes a huge mistake and leaves a locked up Henderson and Audrey at the barn until Curtis and his team get there to transport them back to CTU.

CTU: Myles gets a lead on Chloe’s location and gives it to Karen. Karen sends a tactical team over to Buchanan’s house to pick them up. But Karen has a change of heart because she thinks something is up with Logan and she calls Bill and tells him to get out because a SWAT team is coming after them. Bill tells Chloe but she doesn’t want to leave because she is close to getting the passenger list for the diplomatic plane

Audrey and Henderson: Audrey has Henderson at gunpoint. They hear a helicopter and it lands and Henderson’s men pour our and head after Audrey. Suddenly the CTU field ops helicopter arrives and Curtis and his guys wipe out Henderson’s men and Curtis is able to capture Henderson. So Curtis is now in control and is taking Audrey and Henderson back to CTU and Jack must find a way to get onto the heavily guarded diplomatic plane.

What I am very curious about is the sight of a limo with British flags
adorning it. Did anyone else catch that? Also, it boggles the mind
that there seems to be no mastermind in this season at all.
There constantly seems to be one person behind another behind another,
and if you asked me, it's beginning to look rather infinite!
This makes almost as much sense now as Chuck Norris running fast enough
to punch himself in the back of his own head.

Ultimately, we'll find Jack Bauer behind the whole thing all along,
and his reasoning will simply be because he was bored. :smirk:

There was not only a limo with a British flag, but another with a French flag. Perhaps this flight has foreign civilian officials leaving the hot zone of LA for safety, and that's why it was given the okay to break the no-fly zone? So really, it could be anybody who's carrying the tape.

I do wonder who's behind this whole thing, as the guys in the "war room" seemed to imply Logan was performing "for" them. And anyone else notice one of them say "since we started this 18 months ago"....? And what happened 18 months ago? Oh yeah, Day 4, when Air Force One was shot down and Logan stepped into the presidency. This implies to me an even larger conspiracy than the one playing out today.

I love this show!

I love your insight. I hadn't even considered that comment about 18 months ago as being relevant. Think about what was happening then. Wasn't that the day Marwan tried to get the cruise missile to hit L.A.? What was Marwan connected to? I just don't remember enough of the details to piece together anything that makes sense. What do you remember?

OMG!!!

Why didn't I even see that? I cannot believe I totally missed that.
Henderson, the VP, and the new guy in charge.
Now all we need is Miguel Ferrer as a cocky cocaine-snortin' CEO
behind the whole thing, and the circle will be complete! :D

I had to go look at an old episode guide to refresh my memory, but last season remember that Marwan was employed by an American defense contractor, McLennan-Forster, who attempted to destroy evidence of the connection before Jack got there. Remember also that after Logan was sworn in on Day 4, he attempted to use Secret Service to have Jack arrested "for insubordination," even though he was chasing Marwan. So it's possible that Logan, an American defense contractor, and those with ties to both, could have engineered last season's events in order to bring about this season's events. It's a real possiblity, given the writers' penchant for using unknown connections in their twists.

Let's apply logic and Occam's razor to what we know.
Logan appears to be almost controlled by a mysterious group of men. The 18 months ago reference implies that Logan has participated in a process that has led him to where he is now.

What is it that Logan was and is trying to accomplish? We know the plot about the oil fields and the terrorists, and the motivations behind them. So in order for what is happening to tie into the available data, could it be that there must be another, unknown and more important goal Logan and his silent "masters" have?

If there is another agenda that is actually being addressed by Logan and co., what could it possibly be? Is there even enough information to make any kind of educated guess?

Damn, this season is FREAKING AWESOME!

Okay. Jack's been around the block a few times.

You'd think by now he would know that these things sort of keep going. On and on - until the sun rises.

This guy has been blindsided so many times, you'd think he would learn a new trick or two.

Like when he HAD the friggin evidence in hand - with time to spare. Isn't there a technology in his aresenal that would have allowed him to duplicate the recording in seconds? Or at the VERY LEAST, call Chloe pronto and upload a backup to her, knowing that shit would be awaiting him right around the corner?

I mean, if I had this ONLY copy of such awesome, earth-shattering evidence in my hands, my very first thought would be - "I HAVE to make a back-up NOW."

Okay.

Done ranting.
