Sirisu Black: Sirius is the dog star and the brightest in the sky.

Alphard Black, Sirius' uncle: Alphard is the brightest star in the constellation Hydra.

Regulus Black, Sirius' brother: Regulus (Basiliscus in Greek) is the brightest star in the constellation Leo.

Bellatrix Black, Sirius' cousin: Bellatrix is the third brightest star in the constellation Orion.

Andromeda Black (later Andromeda Tonks), Bellatrix's sister: Andromeda is a constellation to the North-East of Pegasus. It is also a galaxy, M31, and is the name of a character in Greek mythology.

Basiliscus=Basilisk

Both names, Regulus & Basiliscus, mean "King."

Well, he was heralded as a small hero from the rest of the Blacks ....at least compared to the Dog star, Sirius.....

I guess that fits.
