I have searched the world over for any info on the possibilities of this. I have found nothing, no one anywhere seems to have thought of this and put it on the internet yet. Come on. I really can't be the only one who thinks he is perfect for the role. I can't seem to find any current news on the project. The latest I am able to find is Silver expresing an interest in it (a long time ago), and Andrew Bryniarski saying he wants the part (just as long ago). I have not been able to see the LOBO PCS short yet (still looking). I've seen many still shots, yes he does look awesome. But I just don't feel sold on it when I look at him... Lobo is supposed to the baddest mutha out there. Dalip seems to fit that bill hands down. The jaw line is almost perfect as well. This guy really doesn't need that much makeup to do the physical part. Granted Dalip has language issues, but he appears to be working on that... Anyone know of a way to see if the people who count in regards to this (defunct???) project have any knowledge of the potential for the perfect actor for this character? He has one scene in The Longest Yard where he is in his cell. When he turns into the camera to face Sandlers character the absolute first thought scereaming through my mind was "LOBO!!!".

Lobo, the DC comics character, right? K, if so then yea I can see it. That actor is HUGE! I can see him play the character only if he'll look good in all that make-up and all that wierd costume pieces. And are they even considering making this character into a film? I don't know if he's a interesting character but the actor does fit the description. Hell, any giant comic book character can be played by this guy!

As far as to my knowledge the project is still under development with Joel Silver's production company;at the time of Gothika's release, Silver was quoted as saying this about Lobo:

It’s in the works. You have to realize, these PG-13 (expectations), it’s hard for me to pull these movies into PG-13. A movie like Lobo, it’s going to be hard to make that PG-13 and it’s really kind of a kids’ movie, a young male movie. So it’s a weird time now that you have these big expensive films that need to be [accessible to teens]. Look, I’ve stayed making R-rated movies and I’ve done pretty well but I’ve got to be conscious of the facts

Seeing as someone actually did vote "Dalip who?", heres a couple pics of him. There's no editing here. This is what this guy really looks like at a ligitimate minimum of 7'2". Some say 7'4"+ though.

Maybe if he didn't talk. Dude didn't speak English in The Longest Yard or when I saw him on Conan O'Brien a while back. But, physically, yeah, he could work.

There's always the option of using voice-overs! :D

I had had a bad feeling go through my mind about the possibility of voice overs... All that came to mind was Hercules in New York (Hercules Goes Bananas, take your pick on title)... If you've never heard of, nor seen this thing don't waste your time. I just happen to be the kind of idiot who occasionally likes these horrible things, but this is definitely on the do not recommend list. I'd hate to see this guy (Dalip) start a real career in acting the same way Arnold did... But I think he could be painstakingly coached through it. He appears to have the ability to strive to do things right. No human gets to that stage of physical apperance through acts of laziness. As to Silvers' quote, that was the one I was refering to. It was quite a while ago. And this project is not listed in IMDB as anything he is working on at present. Along the lines of info from IMDB, has anyone caught onto the news about Ashton Kutcher playing Ash in a remake of Evil Dead? Hey it's not entirely off topic, there were some graphic novels/ comic books... (Not certain exactly which they were...) anyway...Ash(ton)? NOOOO!!!!! (http://www.cinematical.com/2005/09/15/ashton-kutcher-to-star-in-evil-dead-remake/)...

Was Lobo supposed to be THAT big in the comics?? I didn't remember him supposedly being over seven feet tall! I remember that comic, it's still fresh in my mind......but for some reason I don't remember him being big in a FREAKISH nature like THAT! That guys MONSTROUS!
