Nobody here is questioning the threat of global warming. Reread my first post.
It is the arrogance to tell us what to do as a solution, as he himself contributes grossly to the problem.
Also, it has nothing to do with how much he pays - how much he consumes. Period.
And like I said, it's not Right vs. Left.
It's about personal integrity and standing by what you preach.
Mother Teresa is an example of this; Al Gore is NOT, anymore than Rush Limbaugh can claim the voice of morality and virtue.
Like Kah said, buy yourself a cabin and make good on your preachings. Otherwise, STFU and let us all seek our own little slice of the American Dream of 20 rooms and 8 baths.
In making your point, though, you quoted an article that was at least deceptive and more realistically demonstrably false in certain aspects. I don't give a damn if the guy is using 100x the power of the average person (since he does have all those extra requirements as noted by more unbiased sources) as long as he's doing it green. You can use 1000x the power in solar and wind than the average person uses in carbon-based power sources and still not even come close to the polution they produce. Plain and simple, solar and wind power DO NOT BURN COAL TO CREATE POWER
. They harness simple environmental processes like sunshine and wind. If you can tell me where the polution is in that, get ready to receive your Nobel prize.
