Demolition should not by now have a remake but rather 2 sequels and maybe even an expanded universe. Here's a link to my Demolition Man fan fiction.

It's only been a few days since the trailer was released, but the 2012 remake of the 1990 sci-fi film is already earning some serious buzz.

The trailer of the film, starring Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel racked up more than 10 million views in 48-hours.

But not everyone is thrilled with the idea. The original flick, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sharon Stone was a cult favorite. And some are questioning where Hollywood draws the line between reimagining a classic and just plain laziness.

The trailer looks exciting enough, but only time will tell if fans receive it well when it premieres in August.

Let's take a look at some of the worst Hollywood remakes over the last decade.
