Deadliest Catch
I thought you people may be as excited as me for the new season of Deadliest Catch, starting soon on Discovery. To be honest, I never had an interest in fishing. But I think that I am now converted. This show has all of the adrenaline and excitement of the fist skydive I ever did. Imagine, man pitting himself against the sea and the elements, 12m high waves, constant injuries, this is everything that the Pirates of the Caribbean lacks. fishing is loosely a sport. Commercial fishing like Deadliest Catch focuses on is in No way a sport.
If this stupid shill wanted to pimp a Discovery Channel show, then maybe he could have talked about Stunt Junkies or Junkyard Wars or something remotely sports related.

We get this on the Disco channel in the UK as well. I enjoyed the first episode, but then the second was exactly the same as the first, which was exactly the same as the third and so on. So I gave up.
There is only so much you can do with the format. Guys on boats who put cages into the water..... and then they take them out again and count crabs. Repeat.... |
