Default "Must See" Scientlogy documentary on BBC tonight

I have heard about this from a few sources and they say it is eye-opening. I nearly missed it, having only just found out it is on tonight for those with access to BBC1. If not, I imagine the contants will be all over various sites very soon. It deals with brainwashing and cultish behaviour and apparently is quite disturbing in places.

Here is an article written by the journalist who made the documentary.

They scare me. Moop will point out that, while they're wacky, Xenu is not really any wackier than some dude walking on water or turning water into wine. He will also rightly point out that many religions use or have used tactics similar to what Scientology employs or worse.

Nevertheless, these guys are scary.

However most religions do not require you to spend £100,000 before you are allowed to know about the walking on water, or aquatic/vino conversion escapades.

Actually, there are people outside of the official Church of Scientology who practice Scientology without the money-making schemes. In fact, without digging into the history of Scientology, I seem to remember that the religion pretty much started out like that.

Here's the YouTube posted by the Scientologist, who by the way put out a petition to give accolades to another journalist??? Okay....
Sweeney screaming.

Now, for more on the story, here's a YouTube post putting it in a better context, I believe, than what the above Scientologists post revealed. Things that make you go, hmmm....
BBC Defends Sweeney

But of course, there's Mr. Sweeney's side of the yelling spree, which had me going "Wha?"
A reason for his reaction.

Well, I guess something had to come up to help replace the Paris Hilton feeding frenzy. :OhWell:

Isn't scientology the group that Tom Cruise (and a few other hollywood types) belong too?

The wackiest people I have met are the ones that think that from the big bang til right now is one huge set of tremendous circumstances. Those people are wacked outta their mind I tell ya.
