Another good indie... performance artist Miranda July makes her directorial debut (as well as writes and stars) in a movie Roger Ebert calls the best movie at last year's Sundance (the Special Jury liked it too, as did the Cannes Film Festival).
Richard (John Hawkes) and Christine (July) meet in the shoe department. Richard is not really interested, as he is going through a divorce and fighting for custody of his kids, but they sorta end up together. Around this not-quite couple swirl the other people in their lives - Richard's sons and classmates, neighbors, art curators - all creating the intricate design of daily life. A delicate romantic comedy, Me and You and Everyone We Know captures the language of emotion in the pursuit of love. http://www.meandyoumovie.com

I have mixed feelings with this one. the girl got on my nerves a bit. I'm impressed that she wrote it though.
