Not a real UIR like the old days as I commented on most the images individually in the UIR forum.
I just wanted to say a few things, about the update as a whole.

OMG it kicked some major butt. Not only was it a full 16 picture update but more then 10 of the images could have easily been front page contenders.

The amount of quality work that was put out is just fantastic, I haven't seen an update of this consistant quality in a long time.

Rock on C2F!

and the few of us still around get a great laugh out of Uganda's Independant Rhinoceros. Agreed a great update, the work posted by everyone was easily some of their best work.

Man, I thought this was a challenge to create rhinoceros-themed artwork for Uganda's independence day. I'm so disappointed (as I would imagine is Kev_incal, whose love for the great beasts is well known).

Oh! The update? It rocked my world too.

It took me a while to work my way over to this topic but OK, now I get it...toldja I was slow Yeah, everybody really kicked it up a notch for that one. What Hawk said; great job, ev'ybody! Alas, the two days they were on the gallery page 1 for seemed to pass in the blink of an eye though... Of course '06 has been noticably lacking in flashbacks (hint, hint)

Whaaat? I can write those reviews? Dude, I'm still a newbie who doesn't remember Uganda's Independant Rhinoceros jokes or realize I'm allowed to contribute to the whole flashback scene. I totally had no idea that I could write reviews for this stuff! I figured it was invite only. Hells yeah, I'll toss out some reviews for that killer week as soon as I get a little spare time!

Ah, I missed UIR jokes... oh, for the days of my callow youth when people made increasingly bizarre and ridiculous stretches to somehow shoehorn those three letters into thread titles.

Yes, LP, you can contribute flashbacks. I try to mention that every time I post them but, like you said, there hasn't been any in a while. :P
