Ford will play son in Mummy 3, Weisz Replaced??

Here's the story on it and my thoughts as well.

I can't believe this crap.

A lot of people insult the hell out of Mummy and Mummy 2 but I took for them for what they are, entertaining popcorn chewable fluff. There's nothing wrong with that. I miss a lot of that from the good ole classic 80's action films that we no longer get to see as often today.

As much as getting 26 year old Luke Ford to play Alex O'Connell in the film, it's the other things which really bother me.

Is really too much to seriously ask the writers to just say Evelyn O'Connell is busy at the museum or off doing business elsewhere in the Mummy 3 storyline? Why must Rachel Weisz be replaced with some body else in the role of the mother here?

They're going to be in Asia chasing after Jet Li's Mummy in this film. Why not just say something like she had to stay in England? Wtf, Rob Cohen & Company at Universal?

This seems like another idiotic move to add on top of other idiotic moves.

If you replace Weisz with some other young actress, do not include brother Johnathan or Oded Fehr...you are seriously going to go down in flames and what's more, you probably deserve that fate.

The first two movies were not great and i do not own them, but like you said, they were tolerable. I actually had some hope for this one(and still maybe do, will have to see the previews when they come out) But i feel this was a dying franchise after the second one, and am frankly dissapointed that the first Mummy had to be in the same category as the orignal Mummy. They are to complelty seperate films.

Anyway, i do not really care for this flick, but then again, it is to early to tell....or is it?

Because it seems that they want someone new... That seems pretty simple to me. I say set the move later on in time and age everyone 20 years. That was she is died and a mummy killed her and now it's coming back!

Wait that's a better plot than the first 2 movies.
