FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ALEPH RECORDS TO RELEASE SOUNDTRACK FOR ABOMINABLE
COMPOSER LALO SCHIFRIN’S FIRST HORROR PROJECT SINCE HIS ACADEMY AWARD™ NOMINATED SCORE FOR THE AMITYVILLE HORROR

“The Score for Abominable Was Absolutely Inspired”
-- Harry Knowles, Ain’t It Cool News--

(June 5, 2006- Los Angeles, CA) – Aleph Records will release the soundtrack for Abominable on June 6, 2006. The album contains the score from the film, composed by Academy Award™ Nominated composer Lalo Schifrin. It is the first horror film he has scored since his nominated score for The Amityville Horror.

It has been sighted 42,000 times in 68 countries. A creature of myth and legend known by many names: Yeti, Sasquatch, and the infamous Bigfoot! We’ve hunted it for years, but what happens when it decides to hunt us?

Abominable, was written and directed by Ryan Schifrin, and stars Matt McCoy (The Hand That Rocks The Cradle, L.A. Confidential, TV’s West Wing) as a wheelchair-bound man recovering from a mountain climbing accident in his remote cabin in the woods. He sees the legendary beast and must convince someone to believe him, before the monster goes on a bloody rampage.

Harry Knowles from Ain’t It Cool News, calls Abominable, “Scary, freaky and a damn helluvalot of fun.” Variety says, “Some absurdly violent moments will make it a draw among existing fans of the genre and maybe win over some new ones.”

Composer Lalo Schifrin is a true Renaissance man. As a pianist, composer and conductor, he is equally at home conducting a symphony orchestra, performing at an international jazz festival, scoring a film or television show, or creating works for the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, the London Philharmonic and even The Sultan of Oman.

He has written more than 100 scores for films and television including the classic scores for Mission Impossible, Mannix, The Fox, Cool Hand Luke, Bullitt, Dirty Harry, The Cincinnati Kid, and The Amityville Horror. Shifrin’s recent film scores include Tango, Rush Hour, Rush Hour, Bringing Down The House, The Bridge of San Luis Rey, After the Sunset, and Abominable. To date, Lalo Schifrin has won four Grammy™ Awards (with twenty-one nominations), one Cable ACE Award, and received six Oscar™ nominations.

Abominable was the directing debut of Ryan Schifrin. To date, he has written eleven feature length screenplays, two teleplays and a novel. He is currently putting the finishing touches on his latest screenplay Spooks. Ryan is a graduate of the University of Southern California School of Cinema. His short film titled Evil Hill, (a spoof of Notting Hill) was named the “Best of The Fest” at the HBO US COMEDY ARTS Film Festival and subsequently was released nationwide on DVD. It made its world television premiere on the SCI-FI Channel series “Exposure”.

Abominable will be available on DVD this fall. The soundtrack, featuring score by Lalo Schifrin, will be available on Aleph Records on June 6.

Yeah, but I don't work for the wankers who run this site. I'm just looking for free stuff.

Okay, really, I'm just busting your chops because ... well, you're one of the few who's escaped my ire. Oh yeah, post some nudie pics of yourself, too. If you're not hot, then post hot pics and pretend they're you.
