[cite]Posted By: Daforce[/cite][p]Seeing as how I've been on Mania since it was known as Cinescape, I know that any gripes you have will fall on deaf tech ears. It took them two years to put up a link to the forums that wasn't buried 4-5 webpages in, and their page formatting has been complained about ad infinum since they switched to the 'new' format a few years back.[/p][p]Then there are the articles. Once it passes from the front page, you have a difficult time finding it in the archives unless you know the exact title of the article. And then, it's still a maybe on if you find what you're looking for.[/p][p]There are a host of other problems that you can read about for yourself on Mania's forum. Good luck with the merger.[/p][p]You'll need it.[/p]
I'll pass this along to them.

Just know that I have the phone number of the top guy at Mania and he already knows I'm a huge pain in the ass to deal with.

I don't expect the transition to be perfect on day 1, but I will hound the Mania guys until C2F is in a shape we're happy with.

So, the big transition has been postponed until Monday night. You may release your grip on your hats temporarily.

Rob,

Congrats on moving forward with the site.
For me, the main draws to the site is the gallery and news sections.
I remember the gallery search used to be more extensive, and setting it up for categorical sub-referencing might be interesting.
I wonder if some Social Networking components might be introduced, such as live chat?
I'm content with the simplicity of the news section.
Anyway, good luck with the continuation of the site.

Agreed. The News on the left hand side IS easy to navagate through and to check daily for new stories. It would be great if that remained. It would be nice to be able to get to a former story without having to travel through so many pages. Maybe a topical index of sorts would be of good use to catagorize the headlines so we could get to the older articles quickly. AND THE CONTESTS!! I enjoy the selection and the quantity of the contests, even if I haven't won. Are you keeping some semblance of the contests? Change can be good. It's great that you are representin for us who love this site Robbo, thanks!! Looking forward to moving forward.

I wonder how many companies are studying Obama's campaign slogans. I was just watching TV the other night and some insurance saleswoman was screaming "yes you can, yes you can." I'm waiting to see an ad for anti-wrinkle cream tonight "the change you need"
