agreed, she was a poor choice from the get go. with that said, we as fans need to keep in mind that from pages to screen there will always been dramatic changes in our favorite characters. whenever these characters cross an artist medium(be it dvd, film, print, or tv)the powers that be put their own spin on it. this stands true even within the comic book industry, let's not forget marvels ultimate series. and yes spider-man 3 was pretty bad, so much so that it kind of soured the memory of fist two films and they were freaking awesome.

OH MY GOD!!!!FINALLY VOICES OF REASON,Macstone2,dadarkknight, and phatts, all 3 of u hit every single thing on the head, stop the biching, and just enjoy these films for what they are, cause your never going to make every fan-boy happy.your always going to have your idea of who should play who,or what bad guy they should throw in.fact is hollywood wont ever get it 100% right(unless u fan-boys take over hollywood,so lern to make moveis already)so just remember how it was back in the day when there were no comic movies at all or just realy, realy bad ones(cap.america, punisher, and others).

Yeah, I remember the days when the attemts @ bringing these characters to the big or even small screen were horendous. Still I wouldn't mind getting ahold of a bootleg of that FF movie that never saw the light of day just for kicks.

I have to agree with everyone, Dunst brought NOTHING to the franchise. Surely they can find another redhead with some spunk who doesn't always look to be on the verge of tears. Please....please....please Mr. Raimi...learn from the mistakes of SM3...give us something new and exciting!

At this point I'd prefere that they not re-cast MJ; I mean Kirstin did do ok I guess (except she looks more like a wet cat than MJ). I just hope that she's not playing the part of a damsel in distress this time around. I'd rather see her make a cameo and have the movie move on. Do we really need for him to have a love interest this time around? I'd prefere not to even have the Black Cat show up.

Just because Dunst says she's in doesn't mean she'll be a major character in the next movie. Perhaps have her in the beginning as she is boarding an airplane about to take off to Africa for a movie roll or photo shoot. Let that be the last we see of her until Spidey 5 where she returns to find Peter in the arms of... Black Cat... heh heh. Yeah, wanna see a cat fight? I think we'd ALL love to see Felicia dig her claws into MJ!
As for this being "another piece of crap Spidey movie"... Well, the first 2 movies blew every other Superhero movie up to that point out of the water. Ok so there were a couple gems in the original Batman and Superman, but still. Spidey 3 was still a box office hit and I'm pretty sure most of you, whether you'll admit it or not, own Spider-man 3 on DVD (yeah yeah bootlegs... haha). I would love to see Marvel get their main hero back from Sony and tie him into the whole Avengers story. I've been all for a Secret Wars movie ever since Iron Man came out. Best of luck on your small roll in Spidey 4, Kirsten. *crosses fingers* |
