A great book. It combines chinese folklores and European myths. It is an interesting concept looking at mortal history and immortal history and using the knowledges to solve the mystery. Most of the characters are very likable. I could indentify myself with a couple of them. I also like that it deals with everyday issues instead of the life and death of whole human race like most fantasy books do.

An animation based on the fantasy novel The Court of the Air by author Stephen Hunt. A really cool animation about 2 orphans on the run from mystical warriors. It has a Samurai Jack Esq. feel to it. Definitely 1 to watch!! Go to www.scifind.co.uk/courtoftheair to view it!!!!

Ah, Jakester. Ever the gentleman.
I just think it's funny every single poster telling us about these great books only has one or two posts. It's like they didn't want to stick around so we could discuss their ideas! <pout>

"Rarity from the Hollow draws the reader into the life of rural Appalachia, a vivid, living world -- a perfect balance of detail and storytelling. Robert Eggleton is a very competent writer that builds strong, multi-leveled characters. The themes of sexual abuse in Rarity are both uncomfortable and important and handled well."
