Cool Paul Abro

I love the soft swings of melodic jazz tunes. The kind that is escapism
on either an emotional or intellectual level, and never insults anyone's
intelligence. I came across this little ditty, not for the song however, but
for the animation, which I thought was deliciously dreamy, and simply
beautiful. Rich with the innocent joy of childhood, it takes you away
and makes you wish you could fly too. But after the animation was over
I quickly realized that it wasn't the song supporting the animated sequence, but vice versa.

On its own, the song takes you into the same experience.

Here's the ani:

VIDEO-CLick to Watch!:

This led me to look more into Paul's work, and I found his website:

Paul Abro

At the main page, you can sample the lush arrangement's to three other
songs, and they hold up, IMHO, better than what's available on YT.

Enjoy.

(NOTE: And btw, it's not my intention to go out of my way to find folksy
independent artists (like Liz Durrett or Priscilla Ahn) that'd only
inhabit a sleepy cafe or lounge with room enough for twenty or so.

I'm just starved for really good music, and even now I'm digging
Vampire Weekend. I tried going to some places online to find new music, but unless it's attached to some fascinating video, or the ancient and
ear-weary radio station, I haven't had much luck.

Other sites seem way to demanding or time consuming, and my yen
for being on the internet has waned dramatically in the last few months.

Metallica's new offering totally rocks my socks, though sadly, as great as
it is, I see it as a brief glimmer of the good music that used to proliferate
air waves and MTV back in the day.)
