Default QoS Alternate Ending

So, I was on MI6.co.uk today and read an article in which Craig is quoted as saying Bond 23 will be a standalone film and not a continuation of QoS. The article also mentions an alternate ending that was shot for QoS. Apparently it was discarded because it clearly set up Bond 23 as another direct follow up, and Marc Forster decided to pitch it so the eventual Bond 23 director can make up his own mind about making it a follow up. The link below gives details on the alternate ending. It's near the bottom.

The stuff about Forster cutting that ending to allow the next director to make up their own mine is near the top of this link.

Is it me or does it look like Babs and Michael have lost their frakking minds? Why go to the trouble of rebooting the franchise, spend two films setting up Quantum as the villians and making QoS a direct sequel if you weren't committed to making this a trilogy? I'm going to be pissed if this turns out to be true.

Default Re: QoS Alternate Ending

Spectre was introduced in DN, used in FRWL then discarded for GF before reappearing in TB. It's no big deal from my point of view. Quantum can still be there, lurking in the background, without being the only raison d'aitre for Bond in the next movie.
