Default Burton's BATMAN's GORDON Pat Hingle Dies

I dont know much about this, but character Actor Pat Hingle (Commissioner Gordon in the Tim burton movies from 1989 to 1997) died January 3rd of blood cancer.

He was one of only two actors to appear in all of the first four Batman movies. The other was actor Michael Gough who played Alfred.

In his last appearance as Commissioner Gordon in the Batman series, he worked with Uma Thurman, whose first husband, Gary Oldman, succeeded him in the role in Batman Begins (2005).

Hingle also starred in The Grifters, Steven King's Maximum Overdrive and The Shining remake (tv)

Personal Quotes
"After one college semester I went into the Navy for four years in the Pacific on a destroyer. I went back to school and every time I saw a pretty girl I'd say, 'Who the hell is that?' Well, they were all headed towards the theater department so I joined the campus Curtain Club. In three years I did 35 plays and in one of those plays I finally realized that I felt more comfortable than I did anywhere and I was where God intended me to be. I always feel that way."

RIP Pat... the world of cinema is a little smaller and a little quieter without you.

He was also in one of Eastwood's Spaghetti Westerns in the sixties. Hang 'em High I think.

I just watched Maximum Overdrive and wondered if this fellow was still kicking. Sad news. I'm sure he'll be missed.

Can't believe Jarrod hasn't moved this yet. I was sure it was in the wrong forum!

Don't think you're too old for me to pull your pants down and give you a spanking.
