Anybody?
I'm still faithfully watching it every week, but now moreso for the laughs. I loved his response to us needing to be better than the terrorists: "Not today." *squint* But this whole shtick with the girlfriend calling Dubaku when he's in the middle of threatening the President of the United States and staging a slaughter in his country, not to mention wholesale terrorist acts in the US ...."Ho-o-o-n-e-e-ey..... will you be home soon? I'm fixing lasagna tonight...*pout*" I dunno. Then you have the sister in the wheelchair "I'm tellin' you - he's BAAAAAAD." Something is REALLY lacking in this season. Maybe the novelty is worn. Chloe is back! WOOT!!!! But sadly, her quirkiness is missing. She's more like a Padawan to Buchanan's JediMaster-like stature this year. And sorry - Jeannie Garafalo is NO CHLOE. Not even a Chloe-Lite. Still, watching it. Nothing much else on. |

Still watching, but somewhat grudgingly.
The whole CIP and one firewall thing was worse than lame. I mean, completely. There's one firewall that protects federal, state, and local governments and PRIVATE companies?! WTF?! Really. That was just idiotic. The crap with the vanishing best friend of the first son. He got written out like the kid from the Brady Bunch. Again. WTF?! They killed hot fiancee. WTF?! She was HOT! Sister-in-a-wheelchair is annoying. Dubaku's a moron. The show is sort of fun to watch, but when I spend any time thinking about it, it gets frustrating. |

Yeah, I'm still watching it, but today is the first time I've considered watching Heroes instead. I keep waiting for 24 to get better, but it hasn't....and I want Tony back!

We can always use more hot Tony. I'm not sure where this season is going; it seems one person in jeopardy after the next, and not setting up that big bad that makes things more interesting.
While this season has to be one of the weakest, I have to say that I really really love the character of Renee and am curious to see how she holds up for the rest of the season. I also want to see a Chloe-Janis throwdown.

I almost feel compelled to watch it, lest I miss the ONE Almighty hour that has everybody posting again.
But the whole thing with Dubaku's Gf and her sister is WAAAAAY OTT and a total jump the shark moment for the series. With all the shit this guy is pulling down, do you really believe he would be taking her annoying calls, let alone freaking out over both??? Hell, I've dated downright crazy nutjobs for whom I've given less thought after. I like Renee but I sometimes feel her moral compass is staged just a tad OTT. She doesn't seem to anguish too much before drinking Jack's KoolAid, only to brood afterwards. Seems she's a lot brighter that she wouldn't be jumping in so fast unless she was more prepared upstairs. Tony is always a great character, but this season he seems forced into the background more. All said, I love the character of Jack Bauer - always enjoyable to watch! |

It looks like next week's two-hour block should offer some craziness. Hopefully the episode will be as good as the previews looked.

Renee is the main reason I'm still watching, and it's not just for her cute freckles and perky boobs, either. The character is interesting, and Annie's playing her well.
Everything else has been a huge pile of FAIL. "Oh NOES! Teh terrorists are inside the CIP Firewalls!!!11!!!" "OMGWTF?! There's no way we could just shut it down and ask everyone to change their passwords?!" "Not until I can haz cheezburger!" "OMG!!!!!!!11!!1" "LOL!" |

Oh no! The entire set of servers has been completely reformatted, and all of our data is gone!
......... Nevermind. We forgot about employing some Chloe-magic earlier that we didn't tell you about. Seriously. Who didn't see that coming?

Okay.
I thought last week was silly. Where to begin? How about that silly love-puppy Dubaku? Or Jack (once again) resorting to threatening loved ones and children (where's the originality in that?)? Or the "It's IN him - not ON him!" Or maybe the fact that this ultimate priceless piece of hardware gets handed over to a COMPLETE stranger (to Jack) on the street for delivery. Sure - I was screaming at the TV by this point.... but the best was yet to come: You walk into a room where all the hard-drives have just been sabotaged. Two people in the room; one dead and the other wounded. The one guy tells you exactly how it went down, and you're okay with it. How about "IT"S A FUCKIN' CRIME SCENE AND NOBODY MOVES; NOBODY TOUCHES ANYTHING" and you secure the scene? Especially given that you've been told again and again your department has been compromised. FBI????!!??!?! Besides, how soon would it have been before the forensics teams would have nailed this half-assed plot? And oh yeah - Chloe's secret restoration trick. Uh-huh. I swear - this season, they aren't even trying. Oh! Just how many times in this series must Jack endure anybody and everybody bashing it over his head about his dead wife - give the guy some proper respect, people! Jeeze!! |

Yeah, like...with the data. How about you copy it to a secure virtual machine, take a snapshot of it to a separate data farm, and then copy that shit to a local hard drive? Jesus.
The crap they do with computers is just so fake it makes my head hurt. It's always been dicey, but this time?! FAIL! |
