I've been posting comments on various articles over several days but when I went back to look at them I noticed that none of them actually posted. What the hell?

You must be using IE8. We talk about it in the other thread.
It's being worked on right now. If you have FF or a secondary browser, use that until we resolve the issue. |

The IE8 Comment Issue has been resolved. Should be working.

I've got a slightly different problem.
Trying to post a comment and the site keeps insisting there's excessive profanity, but I can't see a single profane word in the post at all, even included inside other words. If there IS profanity, it's certainly terms I'm not remotely familiar with. Some indication of exactly what the offending words are in the popup that comes up would be helpful. Post is as follows, anyone see any naughty words? "I'd have the Major right at the top of the list. The others may be iconic and ground-breaking anime heroines within Japanese circles, but it was Motoko in Ghost in the Shell that first brought anime to a respectable place of serious thought-provoking media to Western audiences as well as being a success in the East. It's the culture-transcending ground-breaking attributes of the character that vault her above the rest. Anime being taken seriously in Japan is not a huge feat. Making it rise above kiddie cartoons for Western audiences is a truly stupendous feat." |

That profanity filter in the comments page is more uptight than a Mormon school marm in the Bunny Ranch.
Seriously, it won't let me call someone a "fucking shit-stained, jizz-covered cuntrag." I don't get it. |
