So I started with the 2010 new season once more. Can't explain why, given the laughbility of the last season.
So far, four hours in - it's certainly not up to the quality of the first few seasons. But it is (so far) not as ridiculous as last season's. Sackhoff is a major waste in this role, Freddie Prinze Jr. still can't act and it looks like CTU STILL hasn't learned Basic Security 101, nor how to conduct an effective background check for new hires. Renee, all dark and off the deep end - interesting! |

I hate the sub plots on 24. Hated stupid Kim in the stupid bear trap, hated the stupid single father with his stupid baby, hated all that. And I equally hate Dana's stupid boyfriend troubles.
At least, so far, there's no mole in CTU. If there is a mole in CTU this season I am shutting the TV. |

Good points, LBC.
It was bad enough Dana (and crew) were completely dismissing Chloe's history and expertise. Then, to see Dana turn into a COMPLETE brainless moron over her ex - ENOUGH WITH THE IDIOTIC SUBPLOTS! Maybe, if more focus were given to the actual plot (you mean there is one??!!) - then maybe the show would find its way home again. At least this season hasn't strayed too deeply into the Silly Zone. ![]() |

I agree about the Dana subplot. It's pathetic. Also, there is no way she'd be able to survive the necessary background checks to get into CTU with a fake identity. LAME.
That said, RACK BAUER IS BACK! And she's one mean bitch! |

So far I've been happy with The Little Redheaded Agent - cutting off Russia Boy's thumb was pretty bad ass, as you said, Jakester. But now things are getting a little melodramatic with her. Will see what happens next ep...

I can deal with Freckles McChesticles' melodrama. Her having a death wish is certainly more compelling than Terrorist Brother trying to save Radiation Guy, or Mrs. Bauer's amnesia, or the cougar or....

Renee is more on the whack-job side than melodramatic. She's convincing in that she (the actress) can portray a messed-up past moreso than a good number of the stars to have appeared over the years.
Still, I hope they get around to a compelling storyline. Preferably one that doesn't resurrect dead cast members or involve breaking into the White House via the sewers. |

I am really enjoying the whole peace process/nuclear disarmament/human rights violations bit. President Taylor isn't on it enough, in my humble opinion. And I really like the actor who plays Omar.

Jack's deal with Hastings made me smile. And I loved what Hastings wanted it return - get the job done, the WHOLE job. Love it.
