Default [Comic Review] Untold Tales of Blackest Night

Review by Chris Beveridge

In Summary:
The Untold Tales of Blackest Night is surprisingly strong across the board. The small page count stories for some worked really well and told interesting things as did the bookends. The Scarecrow story was a bit more of an origin story in the end though it tied well to the struggles he's gone through recently as well as why he's so primed to be a Sinestro Corps member. The only story that felt weak was the full Sinestro Corps story on Korugar, simply because there was no connection to the characters. I do continue to wonder if they could pull off a Sinestro Crops series book on its own and work to expand the nature of being a member there to create intriguing stories. In the end, there's a whole lot to like with this book as it expands on everything in the core book that's fun and exciting. It made me want to have a number of these expanded further to see where it could really go and that's a very good sign in my book.

Have to love a title for a book that the books very existence then turns into a misnomer.
